This 2 structure property was perfect for us when we were in EP for my daughter’s wedding. Plenty of space for all of us and very accommodating of the dogs. Joan was very responsive in answering any questions or concerns. Happy to recommend.

Wonderful stay! We used both cabins (kiddos got the smaller house) jacuzzi was a fabulous little treat and having the washer and dryer was incredibly helpful. Owners are incredibly responsive and check in was easy and fast. Would highly recommend and we will be staying again

We’ve been to Estes many times. It’s his time we invited some friends who have never been west of Iowa. They loved it! The cabin and studio were perfect for a group of 8 people. Plenty of room on the property for kids to play.

We spent a long weekend with our family celebrating my husband’s retirement. The house is clean, comfortable and cozy. The kitchen is especially well stocked, and the studio gave us plenty of space. The dog love the huge, fenced in backyard! The location is perfect—close to downtown and RMNP.

We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again!! The home was so cozy and clean. We loved that it was so well stocked! We appreciate the fenced in yard so our pup could roam the yard. Really enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after a long day hiking. Close to town but still very quiet and relaxing. Close to RMNP. Kate was a wonderful host and very responsive. This property felt isolated but still close to everything. The hot tub was great, and the add-on studio was perfect for our friends who traveled with us. Overall it was a great stay.

The home was in a great spot! Super close to the main shopping/tourist area of Estes Park and had amazing views. The owner was extremely responsive before and during our stay. Beds were super comfy too! I definitely recommend this home for a family or group of friends as you can rent the bungalow as well for extra room. Very affordable for both homes to rent for your stay.

The hot tub was the saving grace of this property. We booked this cabin in a last minute plan to just get away for a weekend, we are regular child-free travelers. Maybe this place is more suited to large families that don't travel very often. We are shocked by the positive reviews. The listing did not look like the photos. There is no Air Conditioning, so we were cooking inside. The porch in the shade is the coolest spot on the property. The backyard has no shade. The hammock was flimsy and in the bright sun. The house had sticky, grimy dust in the crevices and on random surfaces. The bathroom smelled like stale talcum powder. The shower was comically small. For reference, I am 6'0 and 225 lbs and had to duck to get into the shower. It was so small that I wasn't comfortable using it. My 5'4 fiance kept bumping the shower walls and dropping things during her shower lol. The kitchen floor was filthy. The beds were so uncomfortable that my fiance and I didn't sleep the first night, then the second night, tried separate beds and still couldn't sleep because the cheap mattresses were so uncomfortable. The window in one of the bedrooms was broken and unable to be locked which felt unsafe next to a trailer park. The second/last night, our heat turned on and set itself to 80 degrees and kept running until it ended up displaying that it was 100 degrees in the house. We left two nights early because we were so uncomfortable. When we let the host know, they responded with AI messages.

We had an excellent stay here with extended family, so we book both the main house and guest house. Loved the proximity to RMNP and Estes Park. The front porch was amazing and where we probably spent most of the time when we were at the house. The views from anywhere on the grounds were spectacular.The hosts were very responsive to questions leading up to the stay and checked in with us a few times during the stay too, great communication with them.The only knocks I would give the place is that the cleaning just didn't seem as thorough as other places we've stayed across the country. I wouldn't say it was unclean, just more like the clean you would keep your own house and not professional clean The guest house a tad more than the main house and grounds.

Everything was great except the weather was a little cool for July/August. The hot tub needs a little better step for entry. Check in and check out were fine.

Everything about the stay was perfect, from the house to the communication to the proximity to town and the park. Our small family with little kids had everything we needed to enjoy our summer vacation. Highly recommend!

My family and i really enjoyed our stay. It was great to have my teenagers in one cabin and adults in the other. The cabins are clean, well stocked and just iutside RMNP. Great communication. Hope to stay again!

Our family of 6 stayed here for the week with 4 kids ranging from 3-7. This cabin was the perfect home base for us during our stay. The kids loved exploring the spacious backyard. We were minutes from RMNP and an easy drive into town, we loved it!

The views were amazing and the back yard was perfect for our two Beagles. We enjoyed the covered deck, hot tub, and the beautiful natural landscape of the yard. Close to downtown, grocery store, and the national park. The wildlife near the property was plentiful with deer and elk both visible. I would stay again when we return to Estes Park.

We have stayed at this property several times. House is always spotless when we check in, location is fabulous, and the property manager/owner are wonderful.

We loved the fenced in yard and the hot tub as well as the central location and wildlife. The cabin smelled of stale air despite air fresheners and having the windows open. The cabin and guest house could use a good spring cleaning. Host was responsive to our questions and check in and check out instructions were clear. The online photos were misleading to what the cabin actually was and bunkbeds had thin “mattresses.” It met our needs but it wasn’t as I expected from the pictures.

Great property, good location. Just outside main Este Park, but it’s super close so you get the best of both.

We had a wonderful stay at The Happy Elk. Location, location, location…. just minutes from downtown Estes Park and The Rocky Mountain National Park entrance, but you still have plenty of privacy. The home is cozy and has everything you need. Plus, the fenced yard was a major bonus for us as well. I loved sipping my coffee outside while taking in spectacular mountain views.I cannot recommend this rental home enough for your vacation needs. We will definitely be back!

We have stayed here a few times over the years and it has always been great. The recent addition of a hot tub is nice. The location, on the edge of town, is perfect. The large, dog-friendly yard is always a hit. Highly recommend this place.

This is a great spot to use as a launching spot for the park or all around Estes.

We loved staying in Estes Park. It was a wonderful place for Thanksgiving and for families. The second building worked perfectly for us. We would definitely stay there again. We saw some wildlife in the back of the house. Close to downtown and the Glow Parade for Christmas. Lots of memories for our family

This place was amazing. Just outside of Estes Park but close enough to be convenient. Its hard finding a dog friendly rental with a fenced in yard so i was pleasantly surprised to find this cabin. For just my husband and I and our 2 dogs it was perfect size. The hot tub worked well. The cabin is well furnished. Had all of the main things you would expect in the kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms. The only recommendation i would have is for the owner to leave a mop in the cabin. The yard is all dirt so its easy to track dirt/mud in. Also, have the cleaning crew dust the blades on the ceiling fan. There is a vacuum which we used often because of our dogs. It was warm, cozy and just what we needed. Would definitely recommend this cabin. The host was pleasant and responded to our messages quickly. We hope to be back some day!

So many things to love about this cabin. Location is great, the yard is a beautiful place to hang out, beds are comfortable, kitchen is roomy and had everything we needed. Soaking in the hot tub under the stars was a bonus.

The house was very adequate for our stay. The kitchen was well equipped and had plenty of dishes and cooking utensils. We enjoyed the deck and enjoyed morning coffee and a number of rounds of cards games on the deck. We are golfers and appreciated the short drive to the golf courses. My dog enjoyed the fully fenced in back & side yard.
