Horsetooth Stoop - Trails, Lake Access & Mtn Views

Location to hiking and views were awesome! Very comfortable home.

Wonderful location. Recommend getting out to walk/hike and enjoy the views. The home was comfortable and had lots of space.

Our stay at The Horsetooth Stoop was absolutely incredible. The location could not be more perfect, nestled in the foothills of Fort Collins with unobstructed views of Horsetooth Mountain and just steps away from hiking and biking trails. We loved being able to walk to Soderberg Trailhead, enjoy paddle boarding at Horsetooth Reservoir, and then return to the deck each evening to watch unforgettable sunsets.The home itself was spotless, beautifully furnished, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed, from a fully equipped kitchen and comfortable beds to little touches like complimentary coffee, tea, and local toiletries. The living spaces were spacious yet cosy, with plenty of room for our group to relax indoors and out.Mountain Time Vacation Rentals was professional, responsive, and clearly takes pride in hospitality. It truly felt like a home away from home, and we left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already planning our return. This place lives up to its reputation of having the “Best Mountain Views in Fort Collins, and then some! Highly recommended

The quiet of the neighborhood was fantastic. The view from the front porch soothed my soul. We were blessed with Hummingbird visits from sun up to sun down. Just walk across the street and enjoy the perfect nature walk. Best place we ever stayed in.

We have stayed at this property before so we obviously loved it because we came back! The home is beautiful and has everything you need, and I think it’s actually prettier than the photos. It is a very peaceful location and the host communicates before during and after your stay I highly, highly recommend.

We loved this location. So quiet and peaceful yet close to Fort Collins shops and restaurants. We took a short walk along the trails in the Horsetooth Mountain Open Space and found a family of geese. SO cute! We also caught a beautiful sunset right from the porch.

We enjoyed our short stay at Horsetooth Reservoir. The house was well equipped for cooking and dining in. The proximity to hiking trails and the amenities of Fort Collins was convenient.

Lovely property, with an attentive but not intrusive host. Hummingbirds, deer and geese grace the property. Friendly neighborhood with well marked trails right out the front door. We reserved this for the CSU graduation of our son. It was away from the graduation crush of people but close and provided a nice spot to make dinner and watch a Nugget playoff game.

The house worked well for a group of friends celebrating birthdays. The access to hiking was easy and so close. The pool table really is only for kids tho

A lovely property near Horsetooth resevoir. Great views out the front window and on the porch. Deer walked along the backside of the property while we were there. If you struggle with stairs, you might find the steep driveway and split level style a lot to manage, but if you can swing it, it's walkable to trails and the reservoir proper!

We stayed here as a family getaway with our parents. Unfortunately, we didn't realize that there was only 1 bathroom upstairs, the other is downstairs in this split-level home. Our parents all shared the upstairs bathroom while we used the one in the basement. Would have been nice if we were allowed to use the fireplaces during our cold January stay. The baseboard heat did fine, but the fireplace would have made for perfect ambiance. Loved the Tavern down the road! Live music & super friendly staff & patrons!!

This is a great place to get away for a weekend or a month! The host was easily accessible and super responsive and the house was perfect for a couple old guys who wanted a weekend to catch up.

Beautiful Mountain View’s! Comfortable stay for our family and friends. We loved cooking together at night and relaxing on the patio. Easy access to trails and the reservoir.

Great place, clean with plenty of space. Hiking trails across the road and easy access to the Reservoir. Would highly recommend.
