My wife and I stayed here for an extended weekend (Th-Sun) n early November and the stay could not have been sweeter. The house was easy to find, easy parking and check-in was a breeze. Simone sent very clear communications before and after the stay, and was very attentive during. The kitchen is really well stocked with dishes, cookware, utensils and basics (sugar, flour, spices etc) and was really well laid out. The open layouts and fantastic views from every window made it enticing on the nice days to get out there, and really cozy when it was raining. As a whole the place was clean and well organized, but the real star is the location. Tons of close hikes, waterfalls, state and national park/forestland, and some great towns and restaurants. What a gem! We love the Hood Canal and this was just a perfect landing place coming in from out of state. Will return!
We loved this property. I wish we could have stayed longer! Beautiful home, gorgeous peaceful views. Separate balconies for people to spread out and enjoy. We used the kayaks every day. The rocky beach at low tide was amazing! There is not a great grocery store close by so plan for that.
Love this home!
We were looking for a four-bedroom on the water that wasn't too expensive. This place fit the bill and was beautfifully-appointed.
Very homey, beautiful view. Nice host! We ate at the quilbilly about 20mins away, HIGHLY recommend. Overall a beautiful place & trip. Thanks!
The property was exactly as advertised. Views were breathtaking. Emaculant thoughout. Well stocked kitchen. Furniture like new. Comfortable beds. Peaceful in everyway. Eagles and oysters abound. Harbor porpoise and sea outers pass by. Excellent location for visiting Olympic National Park and very near by state parks. It definitely exceeded our expectations....just magnificent!
My family of four (my husband, myself, 23 yo daughter and 20 yo son) spent a wonderful week at this beautiful location. The house was spotless and comfortable. The view was perfect. We enjoyed the kayaks and exploring the shoreline at low tide for sea stars, fish under rocks and crabs. Although remote, it was a good base for us to explore the area. We made it to Mt Rainier, Lake Crescent. Rialto Beach and a whale watching tour out of Port Townsend. The local general store has a great selection of necessities but we also needed to visit a grocery store in Olympia. You may want to bring a sleep mask if visiting in the summer. We were surprised by the long hours of daylight in the Pacific NW. We had such a good trip and we hope to stay at this location again someday!
Water/balcony view is spectacular. Love the area! Very relaxing and great amenities.
We loved the kayaks. The red rock crabs we caught out in the canal were delicious . It was very relaxing to sit out on the deck in the evening with the fire table. We also appreciated the wood fire stove on the main level.
Great location and view' I was impressed at how clean it was,. The place looked new inside. Snowed while we were there, warm and comfortable inside.
Wonderfull home. Fantastic host. Beautiful on the water with kayaks seals and bald eagles. Definitely remote. Nearest supermarket about 25 minutes away so consider bringing supplies.
We were stunned by the beauty of this area, the private beach, calm waters, and spotless home made this such a fun area to gather! Great for kids that can swim, paddling kayaks and paddleboards, loved the downstairs lounge for the teenagers to hang out! We would definitely stay here again, and will always treasure the memory of this vacation!
Nice property for a group.
My family loved our stay here! The views were better than our already high hopes, and the house was perfect with plenty of room for our family of six (including 3 older teens). We enjoyed kayaking right from the property, and taking in the lovely and private atmosphere of Hood Canal. We even saw a bald eagle and a couple of others from the balcony and kayaks! They had a great grill and porch fire pit that served well for s'mores. And, we shucked our own oysters from the beach! And, the host was very helpful and communicative. A fantastic few days, wish we could have stayed longer.
Great place for our family of 4 to spread out after an Alaskan cruise and have some space- We hiked and watched the wildlife on the water- eagles, seals, herons, otters, hummingbirds and more! Hot week so we opened up the house and let the breezes in
This was such a beautiful and peaceful location. Kayaking was fun for our adult children and my grandchildren. Oysters were amazingly delicious. Watching the wild life was also incredible. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.
My wife and 5 month old daughter stayed with our friend and his 2 year old daughter. We had a very relaxing time on the Hood Canal! The views were amazing and we saw a ton of wildlife (eagles and seals). They house had three seperate floors which was great for putting the kids to bed. Simone was a great host, very informative and responded quickly to all inquiries!
