Home with easy beach access, private saltwater pool/hot tub, & rooftop deck

We recently completed a 7-day stay at Out of the Blue in Rodanthe, managed by Hatteras Realty. While the home itself is definitely a bit outdated and could use some modern updates, it was exceptionally clean and provided a comfortable home base for our Outer Banks vacation.The Hatteras Realty staff was a pleasure to deal with throughout our stay. Every team member we encountered was professional, highly knowledgeable, and incredibly timely with their responses. Bed linens and towels were fully provided, as well as a starter set of bath amenities, including soap, shampoo, and conditioner. However, the bedding could use a minor refresh—investing in new mattress pads and new pillow protective covers is needed.We cooked several meals during our stay and found the utensils, tableware, and overall kitchen supplies to be adequate for everyday cooking. The only minor item missing that would have been helpful is a dish drainboard or a couple of dish drying mats for hand-washed items.Despite being out dated I would definitely rent again.

Location, beach access and pool, and bedrooms and bathrooms, were just what we were looking for

It was a great house to stay in for the week. Everyone had plenty of room! We had read reviews about the towels being scratchy, so we brought our own. The ones provided were just fine to use! There were two or three vacuums which was perfect when packing in vacuum seal bags to save room! The house cleaners are notorious for leaving the fridge/freezer doors open until they finish with the house. I would recommend waiting until the next morning or later the evening you arrive to load it up with drinks. The pool and hot tub were great! However, there is a sudden slope when going from the shallow to deep end. If you are traveling with littles be extra cautious! The owners/vacasa should put up a rope that can be removed, if desired by guests, to mark where the slope is. Check the corkboard by the upstairs back door for updated wifi info. When we were packing up the night before our last morning, we found a list of things to clean before we leave. This list was different from 3 other lists I received from emails/texts/app. A consistent list would be great.

Proximity to the beach was great. The house was very dated, but had a certain charm.

It was a nice quiet, peaceful beachouse. The beach was never crowded. It was great for boogie boarding. The ocean is too rough in Rodanthe for small children.

Older but, clean house. Plenty of cooking utensils that’s needed during a long stay.

We've been coming to the Tri-Villages area for 40+ years and this was our first experience with Vacasa. Quite honestly I prefer the smaller, local rental companies and will rent from one of them in the future. While the views from this house are amazing and the salt water pool was wonderful, we had numerous issues while staying here...from problems with the electronics to bugs! And the beach left a lot to be desired!

The house was very clean, there was enough room for two families. the only downside was they have hardly any beach.

We had a wonderful time. The house was clean and it was a very nice stay.

We loved the location, the house was fully stocked with everything. Definitely will rent again.
