You’re on the Dorpsplein in Aagtekerke on Walcheren, a quiet village between fields and dunes. By bike you’re in Domburg for beach and art in no time, about 2 km, or in Westkapelle with its high sea dike and lighthouse, about 6 km. Between Domburg and Oostkapelle lie De Manteling and Kasteel Westhove; at Terra Maris you can learn more about the landscape. For a sturdy walk choose the beach towards Zoutelande, about 7 km, or the paths through Oranjezon near Oostkapelle, about 5–7 km. Middelburg with the Abdij and shops is about 9 km away, Veere about 10 km. Around Veere and the Veerse Meer you can sail and SUP. Cycling along quiet polder roads takes you past old creek ridges and dikes with wide views over land and sky.
