Stayed May 14, 2025The three story house built into the mountains overlooking Lake Como could not be more perfectly situated for a colossal view. The photos do not do the house justice and Sara made us feel welcome, in spite of our not speaking more than a few words of Italian. We loved staying in Moltrasio and at the house because it feels more rustic and relaxing than Bellagio, which we visited and once was enough. We only stayed two days and I would like to come back for a week and visit the villages in the area. In the description, potential renters are advised about the climb to the house. I would recommend that a person be in fairly good physical condition to do it. The pay off, being up so high above the lake, is worth it. This is a wonderful place to visit and relax. Highly recommend.

Stayed Sep 10, 2024Spectacular view and accommodations. Peaceful and calm. Soothing chimes from the cathedral added to the charm. We were very sad to have to go. You do need to be prepared to walk up lots of stairs with your luggage, but it's worth the effort. The 2nd floor has a family room with an open picture window, couches, and a dining area overlooking the lake. Maybe the best view in the area. Please be sure to get your food supplies before you arrive. There is a good market in Como. It was the best shower of any place we stayed - spacious with a rainfall shower head. Accommodating, friendly, and helpful host. We highly recommend this property to experience the ambiance of the area and the breathtaking view of the Como Lake area.

Stayed Mar 26, 2024We had a wonderful stay at the stone house! Sara was great to work with. She made sure we were prepared for our stay and arrival. The character in the house was just what I was looking for. The house was so clean and we really appreciated all the thoughtful touches Sara had in the house. There are a lot of steps to the house, but we felt it was worth it!
