House was very nice but the showers where very small. Home was very dirty . We had to clean it before we could move in Unfortunately this property has horrible management. This house has potential of becoming one of the nicer places in the Tela area. Check in was at 3pm. We arrived at 4pm and couldn’t find anyone at the home. The groundskeeper never met us. After an hour of waiting we contacted the owner and he told us keys where under mat. The house is huge. But the showers are small. Bad design! Our reservation was for 10 people. Only 5 towels where left in the house. No toilet paper No paper towels. Absolutely no Amenities . I contacted the owner and he said the grounds keeper would not come till the next day. Next day came , no groundskeeper. Owner didn’t tell us that the groundskeeper wasn’t going to ever show up. So he offered $15 for towels. 5 towels for $15? Where?? Tela is 20-30 minutes away. The road to get to the home was horrible and not maintained. So my last day was spent looking for towels. The owner didn’t even care about our problem. Even got an attitude saying his home was of high caliber and $15 was fair. I declined his $15. Owner should use that money to hire another person to look out for his property. Someone that actually cares. So travelers beware. Make sure you contact this person before arrival. Make sure to take everything you need . Especially towels and toilet paper. Clean water and paper. It says they provide towels in the Ammenities page. Not in our case Message to owner. Your house really has potential. Someone should always meet With the guest. I rent with HomeAway very regularly and this was an experience unlike other properties similar to Casa Lila.

I highly recommended Casa Lila is a nice place to stay away and enjoy your self in a quiet area and close to the beach, the only problem is the acces, the city of Tela should work on the roads. It was a good choice to have some Sun and be with family ??

I like the house but there were problems. We had no water Monday all day. We contacted the care taker and owner first thing in the morning. I called the care taker in the afternoon and he finally showed around 2:30. We lost water again the morning we left. We had no internet at all. No cable tv for the last two days. There was a total of one roll of paper for two bathrooms. Nothing extra. No paper towels in the kitchen. There were no trash bags. We had to make do with the bags we brought groceries in. The lights in the house would go dim to brite off and on. I just got a note from the owner three days later about the water. He says the hose outside was left on. The care taker as he left flipped the breaker on for the pump and left. The note appears to acuse us of leaving the hose on. The hose that was left on by him and ran the tank dry. If you are renting a place out you should have someone there when needed. We rented two houses for our trip. The other owner contacted us back about issues we had right away and took take of the problem. We run a children's home and this was our first ever family vacation. The kids had fun but it would have been nice if things went more smoothly.

Pool water was green, we could never go in it! Air Conditioner in one of the rooms collapsed, and didn't work at all for the rest of the week. Had to drag mattresses onto other rooms, because of it. Shower tiles are old and dirty. Kitchenware is old, and not enough for 10 people. No A/C in common areas!!! Not worth the money!

Since minute 1 of my arrival was dissapointing, Hector, the property caretaker wanted to turn off the pool pumps even though I call him and confirmed the time of my arrival. The House was Dirty, a lot of bugs ( Even in between the bed sheets), Some amenities were out of Service ( literally had signs Letting you know). Try to contact the owner, but he only was available at the end of the stay. If I coould cancelled the stay I would! I rented several properties through VRBO/Homeaway and this is by far the worst!
