Holden Beach House / Short 5 minute walk to Beach / Perfect Family Vacation Home

Older house one block from the beach. Area was empty of people, but it was a wintertime visit. Home is old but very clean and tidy. Excellent wi-fi and TV reception. Had to call owner for correct wi-fi password. He was very helpful. Would return.

We rented this property based on the reviews. The house is very very outdated, it needs a deep cleaning, it was pretty dirty, dishes and appliances in the cabinets were very old and dirty looking. We did enjoy the beach but we will not book this house again. For the money we paid, it was definitely not worth it.

This rental was in an excellent location, being a very short walk to the beach. The house was roomy, kitchen was well stocked, & nice front & back porches to enjoy with a small view of the ocean. There were books, puzzles & games furnished. The host responded promptly during our communication and was very understanding when we requested to make a change in our reservation at the last minute. The neighborhood was quiet and it was a relaxing place to stay.

The kitchen had everything you could ever need. All the rooms and bathrooms were very clean. Very short walk to the beach. Yard was very pet friendly. Loved our stay

We had everything we needed except kitchen/dish towels. There was a half roll of paper towels, but no more. We brought our own bedding and bath towels, as noted in the description, but it would be nice if we did not have to.All in all it was a very enjoyable stay. We were disappointed that HB has allowed so many three story mega-cottages, which block the views in all directions.

Well, I got sick at the very last minute and could not do the drive from SC to actually stay at Holden Beach House as long-planned. I'm sure it would have been wonderful and want to provide a 5-star because the host was so excellent with communications and helpful in answering all my questions about the house and the area. I hope to be able to stay there in the future.

The host was very helpful with questions i had about arriving. There were no issues with the house & it was only a short walk to the beach. Other areas of the beach were only a short drive from the house

Love the rockers on the front porch, comfortable beds and seating. The only negative (out of the owner's control) is that a neighbor diagonally from the back of the property hosted a loud party one night, which has not been an issue in past years at this location, but could be drowned out by the tv.

We had alittle hiccup when we first arrived, Byron was quick to fix the problem. The kitchen was well stocked, we cooked wonderful fresh seafood dinners almost every night we were there. The house is very comfortable, wonderful vibe. Our kitty cat was very happy from the moment we arrived. Easy walk to the beach. We would stay here again if its available.

Our family had a great stay! The house is a quick walk to the beach and Byron is super responsive. We also appreciated that there was a garage to store our bikes in. We would stay here again!

House was super comfy with enough space for everyone! Beach supplies in the garage were super helpful, from the extra chairs to the wagon! House was very clean and well organized. We loved the little notes around to give us helpful hints (like pull the stopper up before turning the shower water on). Our dogs loved it as well! Definitely will be back! Owners were super nice and let me know that someone was coming by to check on something (didn’t even realize the worker had come by!). Thanks for sharing your place!

Excellent house just a few steps from the beach! Had a great stay

This property was exactly as described. It is a simple, cute little classic cottage that was perfect for us and our dogs. The owners provided thoughtful amenities that many properties lack. If we go back to Holden Beach, I would definitely rent this house again!

We absolutely loved staying here. The place was super clean and you could see the ocean sitting on the back porch or while sitting in the living room. Such a beautiful place. The only thing that was kinda an inconvenience was we had to bring our own sheets and towels. Otherwise, the place was excellent. If we ever need another place to stay while remodeling our beach house, we will definitely come here again.

We very much enjoyed our stay at “Gone Fishing.”It was the perfect size for our family and the beach was easy to get to. Byron was a great host, and available when we needed something.. we will definitely come back.

My husband and I got in late to our stay, this sweet couple answered our call at almost midnight to help us get into the house. The house was very clean and it was a great location!! We enjoyed the property and hope to be back. Make sure you pack your own linens :)

This was the second year in a row we stayed at the home between Christmas and New Years and it couldn't have gone any better. The house is very comfortable for the two of us (and we added our grandson at the last minute). We have been vacationing at Holden Beach each year since 2007 and this is our go to location this time of year. Will hopefully be able to book it the same time next year.

I grew up visiting Holden Beach as a child and the Ritter’s home brought back so many memories. The home is located in a prime area in between the ocean and intercoastal. We had lots of space to spread out, plenty of beds, and the kitchen was fully equipped. We look forward to staying here again.

I like this place it clean and easy to get to the beach

Pleasantly surprised with this beach cottage, because I managed property and sometimes looks can be deceiving. This Cottage is very clean, has comfortable beds, the kitchen is well stocked. They had an abundance of paper towels toilet paper, soap as well as bar soap for the shower.

Everything was as described- we had a great time and the shelling was phenomenal!

This is our 3rd time renting this lovely home with friends for a long weekend. It's a great deal and just a short walk to the beach. You can hear the waves from the house. We hope to make this a yearly trip and add more days!

The house had everything you need and is in a great location to the beach.

Home is in an excellent location, very close to beautiful beach. Plenty of room in the home and very comfortable living room furniture with a nice sized dining table. However, home is dated and needs a good deep clean and some updating in kitchen, bathrooms & electrical outlets. Beds range from soft to extra firm. Having to provide your own linens is a definite drawback as well as going outside, down the stairs and into garage area to access the 2nd full bathroom.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and nice. There were a lot of sand spurs in the yard which our dog hated of course but I know that can be normal at most places at the beach.

The house was perfect for our family vacation despite being shortened by Tropical Storm Debby. The house was clean and well stocked. The location was a very short walk to the beach. Byron was a great host with great communication and service. We hope to be back again soon.
