I loved my stay at the Hobbit House and will happily return for another stay when I’m next in Nederland!

The fold-out sofa bed was very comfortable. The cabin was clean, organized, and conveniently located.

Me and my girlfriend loved our stay at The Hobbit house, it was super cute and in a perfect spot for all our mountain adventures. I'm 6'4 and the pull out bed was a little short just an FYI for me, but the place itself was amazing with high ceilings. We had an issue with the pipes in the bathroom shower, but Amy was fast to respond and very helpful.

Absolutely Magical Stay at the Hobbit House!My husband and I stayed at the Hobbit House from October 24–27 while wedding venue hunting for our daughter, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The moment we arrived, we felt cozy, comfortable, and completely at home. Every detail was thoughtful, and the space had everything we needed for a relaxing, memorable stay.We loved walking into town, meeting new friends, and soaking up the wonderful views, live music, and great food. The area’s easygoing, welcoming energy made the experience even more special.The Hobbit House itself is pure charm — cozy, creative, and surrounded by beauty. It felt like stepping into a storybook. We left refreshed, grateful, and already planning our next visit.If you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind getaway that combines comfort, creativity, and amazing vibes, this is it. Perfect for our hiking weekend getaway. Everything we needed an easy to find and get to.

The whole place was clean & cozy, and the views from the little courtyard were sublime! I’m a huge Tolkien fan so really appreciated the “Hobbit House” theme.

Cozy little house close to everything in Nederland. Easy check in. Great hiking near by. Highly recommend, especially for the solo traveler.

Nice little property. Couple nits, a bunch of the items in the kitchen cupboard were out of date, could not find the trash can to place all items ins as we were cleaning things out (could have been a me problem finding it), soap dispenser in bathroom was empty, couch bed was rather worn, the cutting board also had some surface mold on it. All in all was a nice place, but there were some little things that would be worth addressing as someone who has owned and operated a STR before.

Directions for check-in, checkout and uniqueness of an older dwelling were great. Lots of food options to eat out, but the kitchen is well equipped to cook also. Overall, a lovely place for an individual or couple to retreat.

Our weekend getaway was a perfect reset. Nederland is such a chill town and we love coming up here for Backcountry Pizza. Our first stay in town and I highly recommend the Hobbit House! The cabin was cozy and cute and had everything we needed except a king size bed. I was impressed with the full kitchen and full bath. I also greatly appreciated the dark roast coffee pods! I hope to visit again!

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the hobbit house. It was a cute little cabin that suited our needs for our long weekend. Great location, super close to town but still felt private. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5, is that the listing made it seem like there was a queen bed in addition to a pull out couch. The only bed is the pull out couch, which worked fine for us, but the listing definitely made it seem like there was an additional queen bed.

I came back to The Ned after living there back in the early 70’s. It was nice to stay in a neighborhood where it was nice and quiet. Highly recommend the Hobbit place!

We stayed in Ned before, this trip was a goodbye. Our little Hobbit House was a perfect retreat. We explored our haunts and was surrounded by beaty and friendliness. Perfect spot for on or a couple.

Perfect location to hit the trails. Place was immaculate, well stocked and easy walk to restaurants and shops in Nederland.

It was good Had chicken poop oder from bathroom window being left open! The couch/bed was a little to firm for my pregnant wife!

Had a lovely time, Betty was great to play fetch with and everything was delivered as promised!
