Cozy yet elegant, this home is perfect for a Family Vacation, Friends Reunion or Romantic Getaway.
Features: Spacious Living Room with wood burning fireplace and built in bookcases; Dining Room that seats 6+ people with serving sideboard and french doors; well-appointed Kitchen with everything you need to make and serve wonderful meals. 3 Upstairs bedrooms are spacious, with carefully selected period furnishings, new plush mattresses, and comfortable fine bedding. We are Pet Friendly for pets who travel well ($75 per pet fee; advance approval is REQUIRED, subject to House Rules). Free WIFI and Roku TV.
The house has many fine details - such as the woodwork in the Living and Dining Rooms, a well crafted staircase, book shelves surrounding the fireplace, a built in ironing board and shoe shine closet, the small library in the cozy "Old Nursery" and the "Away" space in the upstairs hallway framed with windows.
This home is perfect for guests who are seeking an authentic historic home experience. In the home's renovation we have preserved as many original features as possible. These historic features (such as original woodwork, windows, sinks and toilets, tile, hardware, original kitchen countertop etc.) show their age in the form of patina. Our design approach is to be sensitive to the homes past and embrace its authentic historic features. We do not rip everything out and create a modern day home inside. Yet we have many modern amenities in the home, such as Central Air Conditioning (1st floor), WIFI and Roku TV.
Staying here offers you the experience of living in a Prairie Style House, inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright's visionary movement of creating homes in harmony with the natural environment that lifts the human spirit.
was nice to have individual bedrooms. not a fan of only smart TV, nice unique home
Great house beautifully decorated ! Short drive from Main Street .
We enjoyed our stay in Hannibal. Very lovely property. The host was a great communicator. Appreciated that we could bring our dog. We enjoyed morning walks towards the downtown area and river.Street parking was close and easy.
We were very pleased with the accommodations. We had ages from 3 to 72 years old and everyone loved the house. Communication was smooth, clear and consistent.
Due to an issue with this property, we were unable to stay here, but the owners informed us in plenty of time. They had another propety in thr area that we could stay. They were great with communication. The house was cleab and well taken care of.
This is a lovely old home, beautifully restored. The host was great and the home has everthing you could possibly need. Comfortable beds, kitchen well stocked and nice seating areas. The fireplaces, wood trim and doors are beautiful. Bathrooms have very ornate toilets, sinks and clawfoot tubs. Everything is very clean. It was within walking distance to downtown tourist attractions, shopping and great restaurants. Would highly recommend.
A perfect stay! Great communication. Amazing beds. Lovely restored home. We'll be back again.
Loved the woodwork and character of this house. It has been well maintained and was comfortable for the whole family.
It was a nice quiet house that was nice and comfortable to visit with old friends. Wasn’t a long stay and very cold weekend so we stayed at the house most of the weekend and was very inviting.
The historic home was warm and inviting. Very nicely decorated and well equipped with everything we needed. Anneliesa was an exceptional host. With any question we had, her response was very timely. We would stay here again!
Lovely 1900s home near downtown Hannibal. Nice bedrooms and beds. There was a plumbing problem, which was addressed quickly, but will require a future repair. Owner very responsive.
Met my brother and sister in law and their little dog for a long weekend. We enjoyed the festival and other area sites. The mansion on the hill has a great tour. The house was comfortable and historically interesting and offered a wonderful living room area to gather to talk.
House was comfortable and spacious. Enjoyed the house and area. Located close to downtown and historic sites.
This home has been beautifully restored. We loved all of the original hardwood throughout the home. They have decorated with antique furnishings, decor and even dishes. We felt safe in the home and the neighborhood. It was fun to walk around the area and see other beautiful homes that have been lovingly renovated.
Very good location, clean. I will recommend this place to my friends and family if they plan a trip to Hannibal and everyone else.
We had everything we needed. Just as advertised. We had a wonderful time. Very comfortable and situated nicely.
Spacious home close to lots of activities for everyone. Everything you need for a relaxing stay. There were 7 of us and we had plenty of room for everyone to sit around and talk. The sitting area outside was nice in the morning and late evening.
We had a fantastic stay in Hannibal! Anneliese did a fantastic job, the house was beautiful, and walks to the waterfront were enjoyed by all. Thanks so much!
Cool rehab right near all the action
Everything was great for a enjoyable stay
Wonderful little home with everything we needed for a 2 night stay! Easy entry. Appreciated communication from the Property Manager including an explanation about their efforts to rehabilitate some historic homes and things to do in Hannibal. We were especially fond of Sodalis Nature Preserve, La Binnah, and Java Jive!
Loved this beautiful renovated home. It was very clean, comfortable and charming. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. It was supplied with everything we could have needed.
Anneliesa is a very concientious host. There was an issue with plumbing for a sink and she offered us another location to stay at. We opted to stay in the original rental and she was very good with communicating what was happening with the sink situation. (I.e. Scheduling the plumber). The only suggestions I would make is having some hangers in the bedroom closets and a mirror in the smallest of the three bedrooms. We enjoyed our stay at this location.
We had a wonderful time staying at this house. It was very much as advertised. The neighborhood was quiet and is in the middle of being redone. The house was well-decorated and had a nice atmosphere in keeping with its historic status. We visited with two teens who also enjoyed the home; it reminded us of a place which would be ideal for a small writers' retreat, or even a weekend away to yourself. The furnishings were comfortable, and it was nice to have modern wiring and internet available.
The property was very clean and accommodating We would definitely stay here again!!
Property was as described. Everything was in order, the house was well furnished, clean and comfortable.
Great location! Close to everything. House was nice and clean. Lots of spaces to share on and outside.
