Historic Oceanfront House - Stunning Views of Long Sands, York Beach, ME

We had an amazing week at this beautiful home in York Beach! The house was incredibly spacious, making it the perfect fit for our multi-generational family — everyone from grandparents to grandkids had plenty of room to relax and enjoy. Even our two dogs felt right at home!The fenced backyard was a huge bonus, not only giving the dogs space to run safely but also offering stunning views of the water. Mornings with coffee on the deck and evenings watching the sunset were a daily highlight.Location-wise, you truly can’t beat it. We were able to walk to both Long Sands and Short Sands beaches, Nubble Light, and — most importantly for our crew — Dunn’s ice cream shop. Everything we needed was just a short stroll away, which made it easy to relax and enjoy our time without constantly getting in the car.We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it for families or groups looking for a peaceful, pet-friendly coastal escape with all the charm of York Beach right at your doorstep.

It was a dream to be right on the ocean for my mother and only a 6 minute walk to the beach access.

Absolutely wonderful! Historic, older, roomy house directly on the ocean. South facing, sunny yard all day! Comfortable, clean, everything we needed was there. It was like going to “grandma’s house.” Dogs felt right at home too. Walk to Long & Short Sands, Nubble Lighthouse-can’t beat the location and the views. Terrific hosts too. We are grateful that they shared their treasure with us.

The home is more than comfortable, it has New England character and charm! Fresh linens, ready made beds. The ocean breeze in the heat of the day was welcoming and refreshing. Location was ideal. Both beaches were accessible. The spacious front yard offered close up views of paddle boarders, fishermen and lobster boats. Truly a Maine vacation spot.

We chose this place for our end of the school year get away and we’re so glad we did!! The house is so big with plenty of sleeping options and very comfortable beds. Plenty of space for a big crowd to spread out including an amazing closed in porch and perfect back yard! The beach is a short walk making it easy to go multiple times a day. We loved going back in the evening after 6 pm when the dogs were welcome!! The house was clean and well stocked. Plenty of extra blankets, pillows, bath and beach towels! Lots of boogie boards and 5 very nice beach chairs as well as a wagon! Also close to the shops and a second beach option where there is an arcade and indoor bowling and mini golf for the rainy days. A short drive to Ogunquit for the cliff walk. Another short drive to Kittery and Wells. I recommend Offtheboatlobster where you can get a good deal on lobster and other seafood cooked and ready to go. The owners were a pleasure to deal with and check in was smooth. We would definitely stay here again without hesitation!! LM

Perfect location! Great home to host extended family.

We had a great time, walked around downtown, went to beaches, the lighthouse, got ice cream, went to the bars on the weekend, and brought my two daughters to York wild kingdom. The place is beautiful, very clean, and kid friendly.

My multigenerational family had an absolutely wonderful time at this home. The view was beautiful and it was an easy walk down to the beaches. The house was well stocked and we appreciated the boogie boards and beach supplies.

We had a great stay with all age ranges and three generations. Our aunt used to live in what used to be the house next door, so the location is very familiar and nostalgic for us. The location DOESN’T get any better. There was plenty of space for everyone, quick walk to Long Sands with everything we needed - beach wagon, boogie boards, chairs (nice ones), outdoor grill. Thank you! We hope to be back.

Our extended family stayed here from 05/27-06/03/23 with 13 of us being in the house at one point. At no point was there any issue with space or comfort. The house itself is immaculate, spacious, beautiful, and the view can't be beat. The short walk to the beach is a HUGE bonus!!! Stew was readily available when we needed him for a very MINOR issue which was addressed and resolved immediately. We are very much looking forward to returning next year. Did I mention the view???!!!!
