We stayed at the house when we visited Yosemite National Park. We had four kids with us and they enjoyed the game area upstairs, the space outside to run around in the mornings and loved looking at the windows to search for deer or bears. The house had plenty of room, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked for the eight of us for cooking dinner and breakfast. We enjoyed our stay here and would consider staying again when we visit Yosemite.
This property is gorgeous, very clean, has lots of things we think should be fairly standard in a rental, and as a bonus, has so much history around it. We were able to easily find the coffee pot and a coffee grinder. The refrigerator is nice and big. The pantry has a few staples like salt & pepper, sugar, baking soda, cooking oil, etc. There's every pot, pan, dish, and glass you could need for a party of 8. We rented it for that many but were only a party of 4 in the end. It's definitely hot in Mariposa so dress accordingly. The property is perfect for going on a hike or sitting on the deck watching the sunset. Watch out for stickers on your clothes. One of my sons went on a very short hike and came back with his jeans and shoes covered in them. The only problem we had was the internet. I made sure when researching where to stay, that it was a place that mentioned internet access. It said High speed WiFi. And indeed it was high speed... when it worked. The four of us were constantly connected/disconnected every couple of minutes. Sadly, the only consistent thing about the internet was the inconsistency. If you require internet, you might want to make sure that's fixed if you want to stay here. If you're coming to relax and get away from technology, this is a great place to stay. It was a great stay overall and we're happy we picked this area for our summer vacation.
This property is kept extremely well, very clean with everything possibly needed for a relaxing vacation. We enjoyed the history of the property, having once been a stagecoach stop and the renovations and modern conveniences. Plenty of room for us and our four kids. Good location for beauiful drives to and hikes in Yosemite, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park. The price of groceries in the area was also much more reasonable compared to much of California. Visiting nearby historic truckee was also interesting.
The facility was perfect for our group. Everyone had an excellent time enjoying the peace and beauty of the area. The house was well appointed, and the history of the old stagecoach stop interesting. I recommend this as a lovely Mariposa getaway.
We loved our stay! We came to Yosemite to elope and stayed 3 nights at the Inn. It was like staying in our own little museum! The place was so clean and comfortable and was well equipped with everything we needed. The property was so quiet and easy to get to, and the views were spectacular! We will definitely stay here again for an anniversary someday! Thank you for making our elopement so special!
The listing was accurate. We enjoyed the place. The downstairs bathroom has issues with hot water. Please fix it.
This was a perfect location to visit Yosemite NP via 140 or 41. The inn felt like home. It had everything we needed to cook our meals and relax. The property had trails to amazing views not to mention the sunsets from the inn. It was perfect for a family with two teens.
The remodeled Stagecoach Inn was perfect for my family. The pictures on the website were spot on. We each had our own space but there was plenty of sitting areas to be together. The kitchen was stocked with more than enough cooking and serving pieces. We would definitely return.
We truly enjoyed staying at Tip Top Inn. It is not only a great place to stay but be sure and be there when it is time for a sunset. It is gorgeous. The kitchen has everything you need, including spices. So don't go shopping until you check out the spice cabinet. The house is an easy drive to Yosemite and would definitely recommend Tip Top Inn to friends and family.
Great experience, easy communications in advance. Good amenities at the property. Plenty of room for our family of 5.
We had a wonderful time and thorough enjoyed this property. The view was absolutely stunning! We loved seeing the deer in the early mornings and evenings. It was quiet and so peaceful! The owner responded quickly and was very helpful when we had questions, Highly recommend!
We stayed at this lovely property and leveraged it for our Yosemite adventures. The property has been beautifully restored and has some cool historical artifacts. You can explore, check out their fruit trees, explore the pond. If you want to disconnect you can or if you need to stay connected the internet worked well. We explored all over Yosemite, Sierra national park. We went horseback riding and did took a ride on the sugar pine railroad .
Beautiful house! Walking in it felt like a museum with its cleanliness and history. The house was very welcoming a perfect for multiple generations. Great location to activities and not too far for a day trip to Yosemite. We loved our visit.
We had an amazing time at the Tip Top! The house was impeccably clean and comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with all the staples and cookware we needed. We had a lovely trip and wouldn't hesitate about staying again
Really enjoyed the tip top in worked for our group of 7 including 2 small children !
The house fit our family of 7 perfectly. The bathrooms were really updated and nice. The bedrooms were on the smaller side, but fit everyone well. All you need is a place to sleep after hiking in Yosemite anyway. We were able to put 2 air mattresses in 2 rooms so they were big enough for that. The Indoor and Outdoor spaces were fantastic. Very seamless and great experience. Loved the quietness and the room to move around without a lot of hotel people near. Good to get away from the tourist spot and have a full kitchen to cook. Enjoyed it so much.
