Paradise Park was built during the cotton boom of the 1870s for a wealthy French creole family and retains much of its original character today. A very spacious home at almost 4,000 sq ft which has 11' ceilings & extremely large windows with abundant natural light. The house can comfortably sleep plenty of people with a total of 8 beds, & there is plenty of room to spread out. We are only a short stroll from the French Quarter, Bourbon Street, Frenchmen Street, & the trolley car line. Stay & play like a local steps from it all!

One of the best features of this stately townhouse is the exquisite salt-water pool and spa in the rear courtyard! Perfect to cool down after a summertime jaunt, or to warm up during the crisp winter nights in New Orleans...

Please note; the city of New Orleans requires an accurate guest count and you must enter all guests on your VRBO reservation. We do charge per guest, per night. Any guests that are not on your reservation will not be permitted to stay at the house. If a complaint is filed and you have more guests than the number you have booked for, then your entire group will be evicted with no refund. You may update your guest count at any time up until your check in date.

Check-in/out information:

About a week prior to your arrival we will send you an information package with check in and out details, restaurant recommendations, and our activity guide. In that information, you will see the note about an in-person check in; please contact our house manager with your expected arrival time to set up a meet & greet with him. This is required in order to check in to our home. He does live nearby and can be at the house within minutes in the event of an emergency. In addition to in-person check-in, an in-person check-out is required to stay in our home. At check-out we do clean and disinfect the entire house after you, but you will be expected to complete the following in order to avoid extra housekeeping charges. If any of these things are not completed, you will be charged an additional $250 against your damage deposit (per occurrence);
-Place all used linens (towels, bath mats) in front of the washing machine
-Either wash your used dishes and put them back where you got them. Or load the dishwasher and turn it on so that its running when we arrive for your walk-through. No dishes should be left anywhere in the house
-Return all items, furniture, etc. to their original locations, this includes all outside items. Put any umbrellas, furniture, etc back where you found them
-Take all trash out to the trash cans outside; no trash should be left inside the house at our arrival.

    Great location for those who dig the music side of NOLA. We went out as a group of friends enjoying the parades of locals Mardi Gras and strollin' over to pubs and music spots off of Frenchman and Bourbon. The host was great, the owner was responsive, and the amenities hit the spot.

    This location is GREAT! We loved the Ruby Slipper right down the street for brunch, Ayu Bakehouse was outstanding, and, of course, we were a short walk from Frenchmen Street - the best, local music in New Orleans. It was wonderful staying in this well-loved, historic home. It enhanced our visit making us feel fully immersed. The only problems we had were that we weren't expecting access to the upper bathrooms to involve going through other rooms. The information we had claimed all bathrooms were accessible from the hallways. Also, it would be nice if there were photoeye night lights in the bathrooms, and the top of the stairs to help guide people in the dark. They should mention more about the great local dining in the area, including Budsi's which was very good, and seemed to be a local favorite. There is also easy access to RTA buses and streetcars, even though key places in the French Quarter are an easy walk away, like the Old Mint which is now a Jazz Museum, a number of important, historic markers, the River itself, and the Frenchmen Street Art Market.

    This was my first visit to NOLA so I was not sure where to stay. This house was the perfect size and location for my adult party of 8. We loved the authenticity of the house- the antiques and decor- along with the modern appliances. The house was super clean and had all of the amenities you need. The beds were comfortable and the sitting room parlor was perfect for morning coffee/tea. We enjoyed the privacy of the back patio with the foliage all around. We did not use the pool but it looked nice. We were able to walk mostly everywhere (great restaurants, bars, Burbon st, Canal st,Frenchmans market, the waterfront, groceries) and then were thankful to return to the quietness of this neighborhood. The host was very communicative and all directions were clear. I would stay here again and recommend it to everyone! Sad to leave!

    This property is incredible! I had the most relaxing wonderful birthday stay. Joshua the host and the property manager Teresina were accommodating and VERY responsive. The location is PERFECT. There is a Ruby Slipper about 250 feet away! If you know, you know - the Ruby Slipper is what you want for breakfast. We also had a lovely neighborhood cat named Gumbo who would hang out on the front porch with us. Sitting on the porch swing with a glass of wine enjoying a good downpour, chatting with my family was absolute bliss. I WILL be returning!!

    Absolutely gorgeous old historical house in the heart of New Orleans. There arevlovely shops of every kind on nearly every surrounding corner. Very close to every major attraction. Check in process was simple, and we emjoyed every secind of our trio. My small children had a blast and we had an easy time getting around.

    Our extended family group very much enjoyed our stay. The house is fantastic - beautiful, spacious, comfortable, and in a great location. Easy walking to the French Quarter, but away from the crowds. There are good restaurant and shopping options close by - we had a car, but didn’t need it. We never did take our planned streetcar ride, but there is a stop a couple blocks away. The house is in a very pleasant neighboorhood. Joshua is friendly and responsive and we enjoyed quite of few things from the list of recommendations he shares with his guests. I would absolutely hope to stay here if I visit New Orleans again.

    Our group of 8 absolutely loved this house and its location. We walked everywhere; the proximity is perfect (quiet area, lovely walks to and from the French Quarter). The house was immaculate. The property manager, John, was very responsive. Really have no suggestions on how to have made this a better place to stay.

    I stayed in this house with family. We enjoyed the hot tub and the kitchen was well stocked. We were able to access everything with a quick Uber/Lyft. We returned the car rental because it was hard to find parking nearby and there was a 2 hour restriction on parking. The house is very charming. Overall it was a great stay. I recommend a walking partner at night if you are walking toward Frenchmen street. We loved the Ruby Slipper next door for breakfast.

    We rented this home for the grown-ups for our daughter's 21st birthday trip. It was meant to be the quiet place for the adults to escape to. This house was perfect for that! The house is full of old southern charm in a quiet neighborhood but still walkable to everything. A block and a half to Frenchman, a couple blocks from Bourbon Street. So happy we found this place.

    This is our second time staying at Joshua’s property in Marigny and it was just as lovely as the last. The house is amazingly appointed and has the perfect French Victorian flare. The beds are comfortable and there are plenty of pillows and linens for our party of 9. The pool and back yard is lovely as well. Also the location is fantastic and the neighborhood is friendly and quiet. We will definitely return to this property again soon. If you are undecided on this property, dig in and book your stay in this house and you won’t be disappointed.
