Perfect for family of nine.
My parents live in Flat Rock and I rented this property for my family of four (me, hubby, and two teenage kids) to be near my parents during the week of Christmas. The owners are magnificent. I was so happy to see the Inn beautifully decorated for Christmas on the outside and inside. It felt just like home! The owners were there at arrival to check us in and show us around. They were so kind to leave us pastries and wine and lots of extra amenities. They put a lot of thought into making this place special and welcome for us. The kitchen was amazing for cooking our Christmas dinner! It was okay that they didn't have cooking/baking essentials because the grocery store was nearby and thankfully my mom and dad were able to supply some basics like salt/pepper/flour/sugar etc. I would recommend that they have those non perishable cooking supplies handy for future renters. However, the Inn was well stocked with high quality cooking pans, utensils, knives and beautiful dishes. It was COLD when we stayed there and this house is not equipped for the brutal cold. The upstairs heaters work amazing, but the downstairs heater was not working when we were there. There was one working fireplace downstairs in the front of the house which we all congregated in. It was so nice to play card games and be all together. We did have to go buy a space heater so we could use the rest of the downstairs. The wonderful owners were so kind and they reimbursed us for this and even dropped off another heater for us. They didn't have to do this, but it really shows how caring they are. I would definitely stay here again, but likely in the spring/summer/fall.
