Historic Home Steps from Avondale

This place was FANTASTIC. The house was awesome and the proximity to Dining, Coffee and activities was terrific. We enjoyed walking around the great neighborhood. Thanks.

This house was amazing. Updated and clean with everything you need. Perfect location to walk to dinner and or shopping. Very close to downtown Charleston also.

We had to book this house the night before we flew into Charleston as our previous home canceled on us last minute. What a pleasant surprise this house was. Lots of comfortable spaces for people to hang out and socialize. Plenty of beds and bathrooms for everyone. There is a super cute market at the front of the community. Dog friendly, younger crowd with kids in the area. Quiet at night, not noisey, no road traffic or anything that would keep you up at night. The location was perfect. Close to Park Circle, which had a bunch if little restaurants and places to hang out. It was also a straight shot into downtown Charleston, no bridges required. I could go on and on about thishouse and location. We would definitely stay here again.

The location was unbeatable. We loved being in the midst of West Ashley neighborhood. It's a family, young, walking, biking historic established neighborhood great local vibe. The walk to restaurants of many palates was spot on—we enjoyed easy strolls to fantastic spots for dinner and drinks, which was a huge plus after a day out & about. It was also a quick, easy drive to downtown Charleston, MUSC, Mount Pleasant and a straight shot to Folly Beach, making it the perfect home base.The host was incredibly responsive, has great local recommendations in-house book that made our stay even better. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed, and the beds were so comfortable. High quality linens,pillows, firm mattresses, but not hard.We'd give a higher grade if possible. We've stayed in over 20 house rentals & this has more than you expect. Literally, everything to get started plus more. Grill, outside tables, lights all well kept. Happy travels!

We loved our stay at this house! It was just as advertised, fully stocked with all the basic essentials, and the decor was adorable! Easy check in and check out. We hosted a bridesmaids brunch in the backyard for my daughter and her bridesmaids- the newly added deck was so nice and the trees gave us much needed shade. The kitchen had everything we needed, even spices, trash bags, and serving pieces. Comfortable beds, quiet neighborhood, plenty of parking space.

Great location and within walking distance to restaurants and shops. The house was clean and provided everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.

There were no surprises. Everything was as advertised. This was our home base as we toured the sites of Charleston.

Loved the house and loved the location- so convenient to everything! Also loved all the little extras that the owner left for us. Just one note on this - the listing says this is a fenced back yard but it’s not fully enclosed as the fence is not connected to the house on one side. I brought my dogs and had planned to let my dogs run in the yard but wasn’t able to do that. However this was a minor inconvenience and I would definitely stay here again!

Stayed in the house for a family wedding weekend. the house was perfect for us and is in a great location to walk to great restaurants and bars. If we ever get back to Charleston, will definitely stay in the house again. Thank you for providing such a clean and comfortable house.

First the positive, the beds were really comfortable. The house was really clean. The host responded quickly to our concerns. The location is great, multiple restaurants within walking distance. If you are a cook and you want to cook while you’re there, you will be very disappointed in the kitchen. It is large., There’s a nice dining area. But the kitchen is poorly stocked, and the stoves digital thermometer is broken. We found out this the hard way by trying to bake potatoes, we contacted the owner and they apparently had no idea that this was a problem. Of course they were not able to fix it at the time. The back patio/deck is a hazard. Wood boards are rotting, nails are sticking up. There is no table as shown in the pictures. They apparently knew about it, but didn’t let us know. This needs to be fixed before anyone comes to that house to stay. Because of these issues, I would not recommend this home.
