Historic Home + Spa + Walk to Downtown - Dozier!

Very nice home near downtown Austin.

Lovely stay , loved the location and the spa tub! Fabulous girls trip!

The property was very clean and gorgeous! Lovely neighborhood, easy walk to restaurants, the capital and the university. We were a 3 generation family reunion, the rooms were perfect for our group of 8. No disappointments on our end, we were delighted that the photos and description represented the property as it was. The kitchen large and the best equipped kitchen I've experienced with other rentals. The management company was easy to work with, responded to all my many questions within a short time frame. Should we return, we will be sure to rebook this lovely home.

We had a lovely time at this house (a three-day gathering of my siblings and me). Very spacious, well located, well managed. I was however surprised by the bathroom arrangement as one or two bedrooms had an in-suite access to a bathroom whereas the others involved walking in the hallway to access a common bathroom. Also, the house is very much not wheelchair friendly, and I had trouble getting up and down the stairs to the second floor and did not want to go up the stairs to the third floor. So a future renter should be aware of the stairs situation.

The house was very well appointed and comfortable, the host was very accommodating and communicated well with us throughout the planning process. The house was in an amazing location that made it so that we we’re incredibly close to just about everything in the downtown area (it became a joke that everything was between 10-15 minutes away no matter what we were trying to do). The house has multiple different “spaces” that made accommodating the different groups in our party super easy, and the living room was very comfy with the fire place and comfy lounging chairs and sofas.

Everything! The house was beautiful and had everything we needed. Great communication with the Renter’s club.The front door lock was a little difficult but we figured it out.

The house was spacious, clean really a gem in Austin. It suited our purposes for having a central hub for one side of the family for a wedding perfectly.

The house was perfect location and lots of room for 8 guests. We had to reach out to the host with an issue with the heating and it was resolved right away.

The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cups, glasses. We didn’t cook there, just used toaster, and coffee maker!! Beds and sheets were very comfortable, plenty of towels!! I think for the price there could be a few things that could use attention ( kitchen sink faucet needs adjustment, hot is cold, cold is hot, and the whole thing needs to be tightened down, the garbage can cabinet also needs attention, I wish the house had a keyless entry system, the key in the lockbox was a bit of a pain since there was only the one key and it was not near the door), but overall I would stay here again. The location was perfect for the family wedding weekend and all the activities. Taking Uber’s was a breeze. House says it sleeps 12, I guess it would depend on your group, not that it can’t be done, but bathrooms/privacy might be an issue. We had 8 and it was fine, but glad we didn’t have 10. Overall excellent experience!

This was a great location! The house was amazing. We did have one issue with the blinds in one room falling down in the middle of the night which scared the crap out of us but nothing to fault the renters just accidental. The kitchen was amazing and fully stocked.

We had a wonderful stay at Dozier House! The open common area space and huge kitchen was perfect for our group to all have eating and lounging space. The central location was convenient to all the areas we wanted to visit, and the parking was a huge plus for our guests with a car. Only negative was the fridge was a little tricky to close, and the sun was very bright in the mornings through all the windows along the back of the house without blinds, but I cannot say there was any shortage of natural sunlight! Overall, it exceeded our expectations and I would definitely book it again!

House was clean and had great space for the family and was close to everything in downtown. Would stay again.

The place was immaculate

Amazing home. So comfortable. The home was very well appointed and updated. The beds were comfortable and easy accommodated a group environment. Easy to walk to 6th street.

This house was perfect for a big family - has 5 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms and a guest pull out sofa downstairs. Love the way the living room is set up - we enjoying spreading out around the room and watching football one day. Kitchen is fully stocked. Bonus that we got to bring our dog - backyard nicely fenced. Nice outdoor spots for when the weather is nice. Great location - close to UT.

Perfect home for our friends getaway!

Beautiful house, much more spacious than you can believe. Beautiful interior, furniture, kitchen and bathrooms. Rooms were well maintained and comfortable. 10/10 experience

Beautiful house in an excellent location. One issue was a bedroom was supposed to have two twin beds, but all contained either a queen or king. Not a big deal, but we had to give someone the sleep sofa which was supposedly very comfortable.

This home offered more accommodations that we needed but we wanted a space where we could spread out and have places to ourselves. We spent the week helping our local family prepare for their wedding and then do clean up and recovery. We felt fortunate to feel at home while being 1500 miles from home!We followed all the instructions regarding temperature control for the third floor, but I think it is difficult to regulate the climate of these old houses so keep that in mind.

Loved the place, an old tudor with character but upgraded in the bathrooms and kitchen. Beds were A (both my wife and sister-in-law commented). Great location (convenient to airport and downtown). No problems but when I texted the hosts about something, got an immediate reply.

This home looked great online, but in person it was even better! It did not disappoint! Wonderful home for a large group.

5 bridesmaids and the bride stayed in this property for a long weekend of celebrating our best friend. The location was perfect to all the activities we had planned downtown, plenty of living/lounging areas and bedrooms and bathrooms to give us space to spread out and decompress. It was truly perfect.

In for a conference at the AT& T center. Great location, great home. Really enjoyed the stay.

Nice house, plenty of space & well stocked, could’ve used a better cleaning. There were dust balls everywhere and one of the showers didn’t look like it was cleaned. The water pressure was bad in all the bathrooms except the master. Location was fine, but we had to uber to everything we wanted to do. House had multiple areas with couches, could’ve used some sort of entertainment like pool table or ping pong. The view from balcony did not look like the photos. Overall we enjoyed our stay

This house is super cool. Historic home redone. Lots of beds for a large group. We went to two concerts at Moody Coliseum and walked home afterwards. Would be great for a Gameday situation.

Amazingly appointed historic property in the heart of Austin. Spacious living areas with large fireplace made this a true charm for our family to gather.

We loved everything about the Dozier: beautifully appointed and equipped house, very convenient location to downtown, the lake, south congress, grocery stores, restaurants. And the view! Wow. Stunning view of downtown and the capitol building. Highly recommended. .

This house was the perfect place for 6 friends from 3 different states to stay while visiting Austin. It’s very spacious, has wonderful amenities and is within walking distance to many attractions downtown. The listing said it only had 4 bedrooms, but we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived and found that there were 5. This meant that only two of us had to share a bedroom. The lovely outdoor deck was also a plus. Definitely 5 star accommodations!
