Historic home in downtown Wilmington, NC

Fantastic historic home to experience! The owner was great with communication and was very gracious! Location was very convenient to walking near waterfront or exploring the neighborhood of other beautiful homes. Cannot think of a better place for the value.

We loved our stay here! Cannot beat the location to downtown Wilmington. Parking was very nice. Kitchen is fully equipped, which is nice. Area is beautiful and quiet.

This place is amazing. Such a cool house perfect location, stocked with anything you could need and the owner is just so easy and a pleasure to communicate with. We will be back!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Location was convenient, home was spacious and clean, and the front porch and lovely backyard really added to the experience. The host was responsive and made it very easy for us to have a great visit in Wilmington. We would certainty stay again when visiting the area.

First, the location of this beautiful home, its homey comfort, and great amenities! Loved the patio and wished we had more time to enjoy it all more fully. Our host was very responsive with communication although very little was needed. Everything was easy with checking in/out. Very safe too! Wilmington is a lovely town and feel so fortunate to have found the St James Inn!! Thanks Brian (our top notch Host)

Location was amazing and wonderful space

Brian has done a great job with this home he has all the little things taken care off. The patio in the back is a great spot to sit and have lunch with you favorite people. A short walk and you are at the river with all the restaurants and shops.

This property is totally amazing and the Brian went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. The home is beautiful and clean, it’s cozy and very comfortable. Brian responses very quickly to answer all your questions. He even retrieved an earring that fell down one of the grates. The kitchen is well stocked and each bedroom has its own bathroom. My cousins, my adult children, and I really enjoyed staying here and I highly recommend this property!

Our stay in the historic downtown Wilmington home was absolutely wonderful! The house was welcoming, comfy, and spacious—perfect for relaxing after exploring the city. The location couldn’t have been better, with shops, restaurants, and the riverwalk all within easy reach. Host was excellent at communicating! Communicated details before I even had to ask and checked in via text throughout the stay. The house was massive, great for a family or friend get-together. We stayed here for a family wedding, it was the perfect location. Close to everything, we were able to walk to the church and reception. Tons to do in the area, highly recommend. This is a great rental in a wonderful location in Wilmington. We enjoyed the back patio for wine in the evenings and the front porch for coffee in the mornings. The bedrooms were comfortable and each bedroom had its own bathroom. The short walk downtown made our weekend a lot of fun.

This is a fantastic location from which to explore the Historic District. Easy walk to the Cape Fear River and tons of restaurants. Brian was a great communicator and kept us well-informed along the way. Beds were comfortable and kitchen very well-equipped. Thanks for the great house!

We enjoyed our weekend getaway with friends in this quiet neighborhood. The home was spacious and we loved the outside patio especially at night. The ambiance was calming and relaxing. The host was very responsive, checked in frequently throughout the trip to see if we needed anything.

Great host and home! In town for family wedding and this home worked out better than we expected or could have hoped for. Older home but very clean and well kept. Location was ideal and walkable to the wedding, reception and restaurants and bars. Home had everything you could need and the host went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Hope to be able to stay here again on future visits!

We had a great time in this beautiful home! The historical character made us feel like we were living in the 1900's. A great way to spend the weekend for a girl's trip! We especially loved how close it was to downtown and just a short drive to the beach. We will be back!

My family of 5 stayed for a weekend wedding in the area. The house was clean and spacious. Although we did not have time to use it, the backyard was large and lovely. Brian was helpful, answering all questions from booking until check-out.

Loved the historic feel of this 1910 home. Highly recommend. By far the most well stocked property we've ever stayed. You will not run out of towels! Comfy beds. Everything you need to cook. Our family of 5 stayed here for our son's wedding. The groomsmen had plenty of room to get ready for the wedding. Walking distance to riverfront.We spent many hours on the large front porch. More outdoor seating in back of house with a firepit. Plenty of beds (6) . We'll definitely book this property again!

Historic home with a lot of character. 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms very convenient for larger parties. Great fenced patio in back for relaxing with family or friends. A short walk to the River Walk and lots of bars, restaurants and shops.

Some friends and I traveled to Wilmington for the marathon. The house had an excellent location as we walked downtown three times. Very clean. 4 full bathrooms and the Host Brian was simply amazing.

Met all our needs for a wedding stay

This place was perfect for our group of 3 adult couples, and my adult daughter. We were in town one for a nearby wedding. The home was perfectly located, and we were able to thoroughly enjoy our stay. It was an easy walk to the riverfront area. We enjoyed both the porch and the back courtyard area ! Brian is a wonderful host, just the right amount of checking in...Would definitely come back here when in the Wilmington area !

5 of us stayed for 3 nights primarily to go site seeing, fishing, etc. located right in the heart of the historic section, easy access to everything we were interested in.

As always, Brian is more than accommodating and we have been coming here for a few years now and it’s one of our favorite places to visit. He has everything you need and more. You can’t go wrong staying here. Will be back again!

I am the only member of our group from N.C. so introducing the others to the area was a special treat. We all loved the mornings on the front porch sipping coffee and evenings on the back patio sipping wine. the proximity to downtown was convenient and being able to walk to restaurants annd shops was another bonus. Hope to come back!

Nice home and attentive host.

We had a wonderful experience staying in this beautiful historic home. The space was fantastic. We had plenty of room and the house is well stocked with linens and kitchen needs. The location is great... downtown is one block away! We walked to dinner one night and enjoyed the farmer's market 2 blocks away on Saturday morning. We decided to go to Wilmington to see a concert and go bar hopping. The house was walking distance to everything. The back patio was fully fenced in so our dog could hang out safely. The road it is on is a quiet side street surrounded by plenty of shaded sidewalks and beautiful old houses. The house is well stocked, including kitchen items. Bedrooms are comfy and cozy. Cant wait to visit again.
