Provender is the best home at the finest location on Windermere Island. It's historic charm is matched by the large and family friendly layout - fit for extended groups offering privacy and intimacy yet common spaces for the entire entourage to gather. William, Bobbett and Andrea are considered family to us. They are always ready with a smile and are available to tend to your every need. The homeowners are not on site but always reach out to offer guidance and assure that your stay will be remembered. The house is spectacular and filled with so many extras - books, games, and even condiments. The gated entrance makes you feel so safe. You can walk an hour on the beach and barely see another person! THANKS for the best time!!

The grandsons had a great time on the beach, on west beach with kayaks and paddle boards, and on a few excursions (Ten Bay, Ocean Hole, boiling hole and cathedral cave, and pizza night at La Bougainvillea) Big kids had a great time too! Staff was very good and helpful.

We would definitely go back. The only negative is that it's quite a drive away from most excursions or toursity stuff. The house decor was good. The kitchen lacked some good sharp knives and we could have used a few more outside beach lounge chairs for the beach so everyone in our party had one to sit on. This would not stop us for returning but sure would be nice! We LOVED this place! Thanks for the great hospitality!

Perfect location, beautiful beach, excellent food nearby at the club and super-helpful staff. The house isn't new or shiny, if that's what you're looking for, but it worked well for us. We had a great week and can't wait to go again. Thank you to everyone there!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house has the most amazing views, but you cannot expect five star accommodations & amenities. The house has a great location & sweeping ocean views, but the actual lodging itself needs major repairs & renovations. The house was very clean when we arrived & Checkin was easy. The two front bedrooms on either side of the house have great views, but the air conditioners struggle to keep the rooms cool at night because the drafty outside doors and windows suck in too much hot air for the small bedroom units to cool the rooms off at night, so sleeping is sticky. The mattresses and pillows need replaced along w the bed sheets, ours had holes in them. The bathrooms & living/dining room spaces were nice & cool with enough furniture for 8 people. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals, but the crack under the kitchen door allowed critters to come in during the night. We found land crabs in the kitchen sink & big spiders on the counters in the morning. There is a wood covering on a front bedroom door that leads to the outside....a palmetto rat-that has nested in the roof/rafters came into the house one evening-yikes! Outdoors the house has an expansive beach, but the beach chairs all need replaced. They are old & broken & pinch your skin when you try to use them. The bikes are a nice option for exploring, but they all either have flat tires & broken seats, riding them is very difficult. The kayaks & paddle boards were very nice. The clubhouse pool was a swamp-couldn’t swim. The management team was easy to work with & the grounds keeper & his wife are amazing people.Overall, this property needs serious repairs & attention. For the money you spend on this rental, everything should be better than 4 stars, which it isn’t. If you are fussy-which honestly we are not super fussy-you should not stay here until some renovations are scheduled. The view & people make this an ok rental, but the house itself needs lots of work done to bring it up to a th
