Historic-esque House Modernized

This was the perfect place for our stay. Lots of room to spread out and relax, and at the end of a little street next to a school. It was clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

House worked great for us. Definitely be prepared for stairs as the main level for this property is on the second story and the three bedrooms were up another flight on the third floor. The two bathrooms were both on the second floor. Had a rustic old time feel that we enjoyed. The only thing I noticed that could be improved would be some updated bedding. The heating system worked great as it was very cold outside during our day. It was a great location for us, close to the Track at New Balance. Also, the private parking in the driveway, was a major benefit, especially since street parking was limited due to heavy snow piles. Also, the property is located at the end of a dead end street that made the area nice and quiet. Would definitely stay here again.

Plenty of space and updates but it’s an old house and comes with the quirks of an 1860s house including a certain mustiness. Size, location, rooms to spread out and excellent host of course make up for it. Thank you!

This turned out to be the perfect place for us to spend Thanksgiving with our family and friends. There was plenty of room for everyone, and the location really couldn't be beat. There are some cute cafes and brunch spots nearby, the public transportation was easy to navigate, and the off-street parking was a huge plus. Also, the hosts were extremely responsive. Highly recommend!

The house was 160 years old but in good shape! The host was very responsive with any questions! You could walk to a lot of places from the house!

Great location, walkable area

His home was great. It had everything our group needed and was as advertised. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again.

This house was close to catching the public transportation. It was in a quiet neighborhood and had enough bedrooms for all of us to sleep. It was clean and the communication with the manager was wonderful.

Stayed in this property during a five day vacation with three generations. We all loved the location and space the property had. Communication with the owner/manager was seamless. Will certainly look into staying at the property next time we are in Boston.

We stayed in this upper unit when were in town for a family wedding and some sightseeing. It's a great location with nearby shops and a short drive to downtown. It was so nice to have room to park 3 cars in the side yard area and to have a private patio to relax. The bedrooms and other rooms are as advertised. Be sure to note that the basement laundry/game room with a sofa bed is a shared common area. The kitchen is updated with granite and had extra cabinet space and many supplies. The space is very clean, but a little worn as expected in a very old home. Their emailed brochure is a little outdated, so contact them with any detailed questions and they quickly respond. We would stay here again next time we have a family group visit to Boston!

Great location and lots of room! Stairs could be a limiting factor for some but my sons had no trouble! Fantastic!

Great location to the BC baseball stadium.

The place was in a perfect location. Short walk down the hill to coffee shops, bakeries, restaurants and shops. Plenty of off street parking. Plenty of room in the house and fully stocked with what is needed. Some of the decor is a bit dated but it does give the place a homey feel. Would happily stay here again.

I loved the house and everything about it. The house is very roomy and accommodates. So many was great for my big extended family. The large table and the beautiful China settings were great for our little dinner party. The house has a lot of character in the neighborhood is very walkable and pleasant. Easy walk to a number of restaurants and cafes and little stores. Easy drive to places like the museums and the airport. The stairs can be a little challenging for older folks and neewly walking kids. The communication with hosts was great and while there were almost no problems but there was was resolved immediately.

We had eight of us total staying at this house and there was plenty of room for everybody to sleep comfortably and to lounge around the house. There is great outdoor space ample parking and the location was excellent to walk to nearby restaurants and shops. We had a great time and if we were coming back to the area, we definitely stay here again.
