Stayed Aug 2, 2025Wonderful historic cottage on a rustic, quiet tucked away part of Branford. We came with our two kids (10 and 5) who enjoyed exploring the woods, and the beach. The home and kitchen was thoughtfully appointed with what we needed for our stay. Access to the beach, the swimming point, kayaks, fire pit were great. If you’re looking for a stay that is more “as Branford was”, this is a great spot.

Stayed Jul 18, 2025Loved the historic house and private beach and great accommodations. We enjoyed swimming and kayaking. We used the ac, but had to get used to the noise in downstairs bedroom. The neighbors were friendly and helpful. The location was great for meeting old friends in CT.

Stayed Aug 2, 2024We spent 10 days in August 2024 and wish we could've stayed longer. The cottage reminds me of the cottages on Cape Cod that we used to visit our grandparents in. Old world charm! A quick walk across the street was the private beach and what a beauty it is. We used the kayaks and swam in the beautiful cove area. Relaxing and lovely! We came during a very hot spell and appreciated that all the bedrooms were air conditioned. If possible, l might recommend one for the living room/ kitchen area. All around a wonderful stay and hope to come back soon. Thanks Gwyn for sharing your bit of paradise!

Stayed Aug 5, 2023We enjoyed our stay at Killans Point. The cottage was located on a private road with only a few other houses. We met a few of the neighbours who were all very friendly and helpful. The rooms were beautifully presented although one chest of drawers could do with some new knobs. We enjoyed our time with the kayaks and paddle boards, especially watching the osprey fishing in the Sound. We made full use of the games in the cupboard, particularly enjoying Sequence. The kitchen was well appointed with lots of equipment and Tupperware for storage, along with food bags. The fridge was a generous size. Supermarkets were nearby with a selection of Aldi, Walmart and Big Y, along with a CVS pharmacy only short drive away. We would absolutely recommend to friends and family.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This is a most sweet peaceful place in a beautiful area with access to a lovely beach down the road. Escaping the City it was everything we hoped for and Gwyn could not have been nicer or more available from start to finish.

Stayed Jul 24, 2021We were looking for a quiet place where we could relax for the week and we found it. The home is cute and definitely reminiscent of years passed but with updated amenities. The Kitchen, bathroom and mud room (laundry room) have been updated. House had all the essentials. The owner was receptive to all questions and also asked questions before accepting our booking ro make sure the house would fit our needs since it is on the small side. Con: While the view from the front porch was beautiful, the access to the beach is across the street and through a couple back yards.

Stayed Jul 12, 2021My family of six had an amazing week! My bigger sons loved the wind surfing board that we just used as a paddleboard, My smaller children loved puttering around on the beach, and my wife and I loved exploring the little islands along the shore. The tennis court that’s right across the street and fun to play on, as well. The simple house was as promised: Three bedrooms, two upstairs, one downstairs, plus a truly lovely porch, from which we could see the ocean and a neighbors exuberant flower garden. This house is perfectly located, and a true bargain. We loved it!
