With the City of Freeport's Memorial Park Plaza fronting the bank building, guests can enjoy the tropical landscaping ambiance and the water pad fountains to cool off during the summer.
Getting around
Public Transportation - the city trolley - runs throughout the day in front of the bank building. Maps of the routes and schedule of the trolley can be found on the City of Freeport Website, (Website hidden by Airbnb)

Had a great time
Well 1 the owners changed the studio we reserved at check in time to a different studio. The place is fixed up super cool and decorated nice. The reason I named it winter get away is the ac in the studio is horrible probably never got lower than 80 degrees we messaged the owner about the heat and asked if he could get us some fans on check in day and he never responded to this day. The main bedroom is upstairs and the only toilet is downstairs. And the tub has no surround to take a shower plus you have to turn the water off at the wall or it leaks like crazy. The place could really use updated mattress
Cute loft in historical town square Freeport. Historical museum is across from the loft. This building is renovated from the original Banking building 100 years ago. Great communication with host. Timely response. There are 3 loft to choose from, 3 beaches in 10 to 15 min. drive. If you like nature, 3 national wildlife reserves 15 to 25 min. drive away. A fish market in 3 min. if you want to cook your own seafood. There is a Cafe and a Cantina right by. Everything else is in 5 to 10 min. Lake Jackson is the larger town closer by that has everything.
The stay was good - ac could have been colder and getting entry instructions right at check in time was very nerve racking. But the overall stay was nice and relaxing
Near beach, crazy shower tho and the kitchen carpet kept trying to trip me. Enjoyed sitting out front. Good A/C
Personal message to Jeff was 2 older sisters wanting rest and good food. Maybe it's a beach thing but we've never had a 5pm checkin. We intentionally got in to town early just to bum around town and find where we'll be staying. Jeff happened to be there when we pulled up around 245. He said no problem he'll let us know if it's ready early. He texted me at 441 and said he will send me code shortly. Enough of that...I guess. The condo is cute quaint and clean. However the birds singing and the sun comes up directly inside. And then when the sun goes down the lights around the condo don't go off. It definitely was not a great stay. Just one more thing..... as I mentioned earlier OLDER SISTERS.... beautiful claw foot bathtub was definitely not accessible to my eldest sister. Oh.... aaaand I must mention the MANUEL!!! Do do do.... don't don't.... And by the way... cleaning fee is the same.
If you love nostalgia & peace this is your spot!!! There was one check in hiccup but that was an easy fix! Place was so cute & comfortable. The owner was great!!! Anytime I'm in twn which will be often, this will be my place❤ thanks for having me
Excellent accomodations in downtown Freeport 10 minutes to beach, 1 hour to Galveston and minutes to Lake Jackson. An apartment with lots of character. Dogs enjoyed walks along the river and the beach. Great choice for anyone staying in the Freeport area.
I cannot review this exact rental since I was asked to move to a different rental (unit C) an hour before my reservation. If you are someone who thinks the little things are important, the Park Ave Lofts may not be the best option for you. However, if you are cool with the basics and can overlook the details, then unit C is adequate and a very short drive to the beach.
The space is an old commercial building, with great tile, wood beamed ceilings, and lots of light. It is beautifully decorated and furnished.
