Historic 3-bedroom house walking distance to downtown Walterboro with WiFi, AC

Beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood. Definitely would recommend.

We only stayed in this beautiful home for one night on our way down to Florida. We ended up finding our next vacation rental. The house is perfectly set up to show off its history. If you’re into really cool old houses, this one is for you. The property is extremely well setup. We loved the wrap around front porch. The interior is a lot larger than we expected. We had no issues maneuvering our adult child who is in a wheelchair around in this home. The kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms are wonderfully set up. The decor really ties the place together. I can’t put into words how cool this house was to stay in. It is located in a great area. The host was a joy to deal with from check-in to check-out. That really makes a big difference when a host is this easy and friendly to work with. My family will be back to stay longer and explore what the area has to offer. And to enjoy this wonderful historical house again.

Love this little place! The house is much bigger than I imagined. Big bedrooms, bathrooms have been updated recently, wonderful kitchen. Character of place amazing and everything one could need. And also outstanding communication with the owner.Just a few blocks from the old down town area, walked everyday.You can't go wrong choosing this one.

Outstanding experience all the way around! The house is a lovely older home, full of character and warmth. Apart from some traffic noise which can’t really be helped, we enjoyed the quietness of the neighborhood, including the park across the street. The host was an excellent communicator and resolved a small problem with a smoke alarm battery within a few hours of notification. We would not hesitate to stay again or recommend this location to friends and family.

Love this property! And the owner took the extra steps to make it feel like home (snacks, treats for my dog, etc). Wish I could have stayed longer.

Couldn’t ask for a better host! The snacks and pet treats were a thoughtful touch. House was close to everything and had such character and charm. We hated we were only there for a night would have loved checking out the town.

Honestly restored my faith in these type of things. They truly could tell they believed in hospitality to two legged and four legged friends. My daughter loved the record player. Had a wonderful time and refresh before our next travel day.

Well, let’s put it this way: I came to look at a couple of higher-end properties in Walterboro, and after checking in to “Horsin Around” and spending just one night, both showings were utterly disappointing. I couldn’t wait to get back to my Vrbo! Relaxing back yard with a ‘secret garden’-Older, historic home feel with modern amenities…Fun personal touches everywhere- from books to board games- even an old-school turntable with a collection of vinyl.I’m probably finished with my real estate search in Walterboro, but I’m definitely going to find a reason to come back someday. Five stars all around!

Wonderful historic home!

The home felt warm & welcoming. The snacks in the welcome basket were much appreciated. The primary bedroom has a comfortable bed, and the room was very spacious. We enjoyed all the horse decor. Loved walking our dog at night and in the morning as there are many historic homes, a park, and beautiful library nearby. Very close to rt 95, so easy to get to yet quiet and in a nice neighborhood.

The Metcalfe’s were very responsive to our questions. Everything was as described. We enjoyed our stay in Walterboro at “Horsing Around.” The location was great!

The beautiful interior of the house is very nice, with generously sized bedrooms, just perfect for relaxation. The location was close to everything. The house was very clean, and warm; actually felt as if I was at my own home. The host stayed in-touch I didn’t have to call for anything it was just as he said it would be. My grandchildren had a ball. It was fun for them asking questions about different things about the house. I would recommend this house. Would like to stay again.

We had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful and spacious home! Traveling with two young children and our dog can sometimes be a challenge, but this rental made everything easy and enjoyable.The house was immaculately clean, thoughtfully stocked, and even more spacious than it appeared in the photos. There was plenty of room for the kids to play and for the adults to relax. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook family meals, and the bedrooms were comfortable and quiet, making naps and bedtime stress-free. We also really appreciated the little touches like games, books, and a washer/dryer — ideal for family travel.The location was peaceful but close to everything we needed. The host was responsive, kind, and made us feel very welcome.We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to any families (especially those with pets) looking for a relaxing and accommodating getaway!
