Stayed Jun 19, 2025The Heron House was absolutely amazing. The house was beautifully designed and very clean. It was perfect for our family vacation of eight adults. The only downfall was the two flights of stairs and not being able to use the lift to get up and down. Pool was great, but wished the pool light would have stayed on longer at night.

Stayed Apr 25, 2025We stayed at the Heron house for four nights in April 2025 . The house is beautiful. It was nice and clean. Bay is beautiful from the front porch. It is close to town. The house is well stocked , The pool is small and you can only get sun in the first part of the day because the house blocks it . There was great communication with the host. Below, I have listed pros and cons that we feel were important to us.. Pros: Great location, beautiful view of the bay, comfortable firm bed in master nice shower in master, Quiet neighborhood one neighboring house next door,Close to Rockport Beach , shopping and restaurants in Rockport. Plenty of space . Pier you can use to walk out over the bay .Cons; There is a lift but we were not allowed to use it , There is a small pool but it was not heated as listed in the description of the house and amenities ( we found out when we received our arrival instructions that there is a 40.00 a day fee) You can only get sun in the first part of the day.at the pool. The bedrooms do not have TV s but the listing says the bedrooms do . Over all we had a good experience, but had I known the pool was in fact, actually not heated. I would’ve chosen another property that I had in mind because the pool was really one of the main reasons I chose this house. I knew the ocean water was too cold this time of year and I wanted to get some sun and get in the water. so the pool was a very big disappointment to us. Overall, a pleasant experience.
