If you are looking for a peaceful and tranquil escape, you are looking at the right spot. Nestled beneath whispering conifers and oaks, this cabin boasts of beautiful mountain and valley views. Trails for hiking and premier mountain biking in the Tahoe National Forest; simply open your door and begin your adventure. Short drive to Nevada City, Yuba River and 45 minutes to ski slopes in the Sierras. The custom 600 sq. ft. private studio with a gas fireplace is fully equipped for up to 4 guests.
The space
The property is 2.5 acres with 80 mile views to the Sierra Buttes. This paradise has conifers and oaks that are simply magical when a breeze is blowing.
The timber for the cabin was all milled from the property. Interior trim is from a local cabinet shop which closed it doors. I was able to buy from their wood supply black walnut, ebony, and coastal oak which was used as interior trim.
When you walk into the cabin, you feel a sense of comfort and relaxation that melts the concerns of this world away.
Beautifully decorated with long collection of cherished possessions. You will be at home the minute you walk through the door.
There is a beautiful outdoor patio with a fire pit available below the main house.
The Cabin has high sped internet. If the power goes out, no worries, there is a Generac Generator. We will run it for about 7 hours, but it is off at 11:00 and turned back on at 7:00 A.M.
There is a fully stocked kitchen including olive oil and basic spices for cooking. A barbecue upon request.
Nevada City is only 3 miles away full of historic gold country charm and lovely 1800 Victorian homes. Nevada City is full of Victorian charm, fantastic restaurants, entertainment and music, art galleries, wine tasting, and museums and a calendar full of events year round.
The scenic Yuba River is a 15 minute drive, where you can swim in the emerald pools, fish, or gold pan for riches. Or you may simply enjoy hiking along the trails that overlook the scenic river.
Grass Valley, only a few minutes away boasts of one of the largest Gold mines in North America; The Empire Mine. Tours are open to the public. Or simply stroll through esplanade and visit the unique stores, restaurants, and coffee houses.

Down below the Cabin is a woodworking shop. You are more than welcome to store mountain bikes, kayaks, skis, or other personal items there safely.
