Hana Kai #173 - Oceanfront Home in the Heart of Surf City!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Hana Kai was clean, well appointed, had ample parking and comfortable beds. The kitchen had everything we needed to dine in, the light switches & remotes were thoughtfully labeled the home was very clean. The only issue we had was that upon our Thursday arrival, all garbage and recycle bins were completely full. So when we checked out on Sunday we really had to stuff our trash and bottles into the cans. We rolled everything to the curb for pick up so the next guests did not have the same problem. Another negative was that the rental agency sent a text offering to check for availability for a late check out for an added fee. We decided that would be something we'd like to take advantage of. When we replied to that text we didn't get confirmation so we left a voice message asking to confirm. I didn't get a call back, but got a text saying they could not accommodate a late check out because other renters were arriving. Why send the original text if the house was booked? Seems like an easy IT fix to prevent that from happening.

Extremely clean and kitchen was very well equipped! Communication with property management company was excellent and timely. Would recommend staying here!

It was also very clean when we arrived. Everything was very accessible, especially dry the beach. We enjoyed our stay very much and plan to come back again in the future.

We were located only a few minutes from surf city, so running to town was simple. The house was well kept up with, fully stocked in the kitchen and nicely decorated. We have been going to topsail for years and this was our 9th house we have stayed in. We are already planning to stay here again! There was a laundry service for sheets and bath towels, which made getting rooms set up and packing up a breeze. We had a question mid-week and we received an answer via text service within a few minutes. Hands down our easiest renting experience! We look forward to renting here again 😊

The house suited our family very well - having 4.5 baths going along with the 5 bedrooms was really nice. The house layout works well, with a nice two level deck and raised poly wood chairs and a nice retractable sunshade. The kitchen is nicely appointed, we cooked all of our meals in and found the pans and utensils we needed.

I was a rental property owner for years, but I no longer own the property so now I have to rent :-) I have to say I was VERY impressed with not only the property, but also the property manager. I appreciated all the communication I received. I was very impressed with the the properties overall condition. Hana Kai was clean, spacious enough for our party of 10 (6 adults 4 teens), and was fully stocked with kitchen utensils! I also appreciated the 2 king bedrooms which perfect for 2 families traveling together. The location was also excellent, you are JUST close enough to everything. I love that the driveway is big enough to manuever cars when needed. Overall I have to give Hana Kai 10 stars...we had a GREAT TIME!! The owners have great pride in their property and it shows :-)

Bedroooms were nicely decorated and seemed ithey might have been freshly painted? We had plenty of room for 11 people. the only suggestion I would offer is to bring your own games/cards - the games on the property are a mess and need organization. However, I would definitely recommend this property for your vacation!
