Haiku River House | 5BR/4BA Potomac Riverfront | Zen Retreat | 18 Min to DC

Welcome to Haiku River House — A Riverfront Sanctuary Just Outside Washington, DC

Nestled along the tranquil banks of the Potomac River in Oxon Hill, Maryland, Haiku River House is a one-of-a-kind Japanese-inspired estate that delivers the rare combination of genuine natural serenity and effortless access to one of America's most vibrant cities. Just 18 minutes from Downtown Washington, DC, this stunning single-level home offers five private bedrooms, four en-suite bathrooms, and thoughtfully designed spaces that bring groups together without sacrificing personal space or comfort.

AN ARCHITECTURAL RETREAT UNLIKE ANY OTHER

The home's design draws from Japanese minimalist principles — clean lines, natural materials, uncluttered spaces, and an intentional connection to the natural landscape. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame panoramic Potomac River views throughout the main living areas, filling the home with natural light and the kind of visual calm that reminds you why you took this trip in the first place. Boats drift by on the river. Sunsets paint the water in gold. And in the morning, the only sound you hear is birdsong and the gentle current.

DESIGNED FOR GROUPS WHO APPRECIATE THE DETAILS

This is not a generic vacation rental. Every element of Haiku River House — from the designer mattresses and luxury linens in each bedroom to the fully equipped chef's kitchen and private en-suite baths — was chosen with the group experience in mind.

Three distinct bedroom wings create a home where 10 guests can sleep, wake, and move through their day without the feeling of crowding. Multi-generational families find it ideal: grandparents, parents, and children each have their own private quarters while sharing spectacular communal spaces. Corporate retreat groups appreciate the dedicated workspace and fast Wi-Fi. Friend groups love the Golden Tee arcade and Peloton bike as much as the sunset views from the riverfront yard.
