the most private home we have stayed in in Cape San Blas. the road in is uneven. but worth the trip.

Seems like we came during a renovation. Although the bathroom & shower added under the deck was a great idea. The grill was so rusted & falling apart. Which was unfortunate since we brought a number of dishes to be grilled. The two trash cans were completely full when we arrived & then taken away for trash pickup on Sunday. We didn’t get them back for 3 days. Trash piled up. We contacted Management & it took them a few days to respond to both issues. I will say they did buy a new grill & installed it mid week.

A Hidden Gem in Cape San Blas! Our family, including our beloved German Shepherd, had an unforgettable stay at this beachfront property. The location is unbeatable—you’re right at the beach, allowing us to witness breathtaking sunsets every evening. Here are the highlights: Dog-Friendly Deck: The fenced deck provided our furry friend with ample space to roam freely during the day. It’s a thoughtful feature that made our stay even more enjoyable. Outdoor Shower: The outdoor shower with both hot and cold water was a hit with most of us. There’s something refreshing about showering under the open sky. Below-Deck Comforts: The below-deck restroom with a toilet added convenience. No need to trek upstairs when nature calls! Cozy Bunk Room: Admittedly, the room with bunk beds is on the smaller side, but hey, we were here for the beach—not laundry duty! ? Local Amenities: Within walking distance, you’ll find the trading post, Weber Donuts, and the fish market. Who needs to leave the Cape when everything is nearby? Beach Access: Initially, erosion made beach access a bit challenging, but our neighbor’s property created a pathway by our second day. That’s the beauty of Cape San Blas—it’s rugged, spectacular, and perfect for dog lovers like us. We’re already planning to rent this place again next year. Can’t wait! ???️

The location is arguably the best on Cape San Blas. The stores at the top of the driveway, plus being right on the beach makes this a perfect house. The house was in excellent condition, and the back deck overlooking the beach just made everything shine even better. Five stars.

The house is very cute. Everything was set up well. Loved the deck and the views. I did not want to mess up your star rating but did want to say, none of the slider (bedroom or living room) doors were locked when we arrived. It made me a bit uncomfortable but I didn’t really think about it until I tried to lock all the doors at dark. The slider in the bedroom locked fine but the slider in the living room didn’t lock. The mechanism didn’t work. I called the management company and they asked me if it could wait until the next day since it was after hours. I said no - I don’t see how anyone could sleep without being able to lock doors. So they dispatched a tech. Apparently they were coming from far away? Because I was going to take almost 2 hours for them to get there and then they didn’t have a guarantee they could fix the lock. I took my mom on vacation with me. She is 80 and was very uncomfortable after all this, didn’t trust it would be fixed and did not want to stay. She asked me to take her home that night so I did. Very unfortunate situation because the house was great. I just wanted to say this here so that maybe you can make sure that things like this are checked routinely and maintained. I might be in the minority, but I never sleep with my doors unlocked, especially somewhere I’ve never been before. Seems like the homeowner would want to make sure their property was secure at all times. We had about 3 hours of a 3 night vacation that we enjoyed.
