Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I stayed at Gulf Breezes for a week in April 2025. The property is beautiful, both inside and outside. The location was perfect. I highly recommend staying in either Marathon or Islamorada when visiting the Keys. Very central location with the beautiful Sombrero Beach close by. The seven mile bridge was a short drive where you can watch a spectacular sunset. There were a couple of things that the mgmt company could improve upon. First, one of the door handles was broken on the slider to go outside. Did not realize this at first and had a difficult time closing/locking the door once open. Mgmt should have let us know ahead of time. Also, during our entire stay, we had NO internet/cable. Management did not even have the courtesy to let us know. When I called on Sunday, obviously they were closed. I left a message with no returned call. I had to call again on Monday and they said yes they were aware there was an issue with the service. They did not know when it would be restored. They never provided updates. I had to call multiple times during the week with still no answers to when service would be available. One member of our party did not have unlimited data. The management company said they would offer compensation but we have received nothing. Very disappointing.Also, just to be aware, as some other reviews mention, there is quite a bit of seaweed along the bulk head. Yes, this is a natural occurrence and dependent on the winds. And yes, it can be quite breezy at Gulf Breezes. Just an FYI. We saw a couple of iguanas but no other wildlife at the house. Last thing, no sunset. The property does not face directly west and there is another property to the left that blocks any possible view of the sunset.

The place was very nice. It could use a little updating on the outside but nothing that would alter your stay. The only things that would prevent us from booking again would be the smell from the sea grass piled up on shore and the airport noise.

Since last year they have redone the hot tub and it is beautiful. The property is very well maintained and has everything you need for a great stay. There are even four kayaks to use for exploring the water right in front of the property.

So many extras in the kitchen and supplies to go to the beach, they had it all. The pool was clean and overlooked our million-dollar view of the Gulf!! We saw small sharks in the water as well as plenty of fish and a turtle swimming around. There were iguanas on the property that wanted to share the pool for a drink. We did have to shoo them away and a few times in the morning, we needed to clean up their calling card at the edge of the pool. Ceiling fans would have been nice on the back porch, but we found portable fans to move some air around in the hot July weather. This house, pool and having the Gulf as our backyard made our week in Marathon a memory maker for all three of us!

Absolutely beautiful views from this house! We enjoyed the pool and the sunsets! Perfect size house for the four of us! Great location sitting on the Gulf of Mexico!

Our family of 6 enjoyed this home very much. Plenty of space, very comfortable beds, and a well stocked home! The outside pool/spa were great, plenty of lounging chairs, space to eat outside. The kayaks were so fun for us to be able to use. The house had supplies for us to go to the beach (chairs, umbrella, even a cooler!). We loved everything about our stay and appreciate the easy communication with the property manager. We would definitely look into this house again in the future!

We were very happy with our decision to stay here at Gulf Breezes, particular during the busy spring break, week before Easter timeframe. Being directly on the open water and not on a canal was simply, amazing. The view was incredible and highly visible through the main kitchen, dining and living areas so it truly felt you were always on the water. We spent 90% of our time on the back patio and pool area because it was gorgeous, offered sun or shade with a lovely breeze, and was so comfortable. It also felt private and set away from the business despite only being 3 blocks from the Overseas Highway. Plenty of room for a family of 5 with 3 teenagers between 3 bedrooms and 2 baths! The house was exceptionally well equipped for a rental with every kitchen appliance and tool (even a waffle maker & blender!) to pool & beach toys, towels, kayaks, beach chairs, & umbrellas being provided for guest use. Even fishing poles & bait in the garage freezer! We had plenty of spices and cooking basics too to fill in the gaps as who needs to buy enter bottles of vegetable oil for one week? We didn’t have to. Laundry detergent was also available. It felt like nearly everything was thought of in advance. Note that the home has only 2 bathrooms - the listing shows as 2.5 but the half is only the outdoor rinse off shower on the side of the house. We would absolutely 100% rent this house again - do it! You won’t regret the cost or choice, especially for a family visiting the Florida Keys.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The views from this property was outstanding. The house layout works well for 2 couples as the bedrooms are separated by the living area. The house was clean and well stocked. The area was quiet and private. The only area for improvement would be the outside of the property. Since the property is located on the bay there is trash in the water and the kayak launch area. I would suggest property management could have it picked up prior to guest arrival. While we were there we did daily pickup with the kayak only a few pieces each day. This would not be a game changer for a return visit in the future.

The rental location was incredible, and pictures of the home and property are accurate. Beautiful view from early morning thru sunset. The pool and hot tub made it our own private resort. The home was clean and kitchen was well equipped for cooking (walkable to Frank's Grill if you don't want to cook - delicious and friendly service). Quiet location especially at night (there is an airport close by so planes, jets and helicopters are active during the day). Keys Ocean Vacation Rentals was great in communicating and answering any concerns or questions. So much to see and do in Marathon! Loved our private oasis and would stay here again.
