Gîte de l'Audurière

It was great to return to l'Audurière. Two years ago we stayed with family, this time with friends. On both occasions everyone had a wonderful time. The gite is extremely well equipped and comfortable, the grounds and lakes are beautiful, and Anne and Olivier are so welcoming. Altogether a delight. Thank you!

Thank you Anne and Olivier for a wonderful week at your amazing property. We all enjoyed time in the stunning pool, meals as a family, and relaxing together in the beautiful living room. The kids were also adventurous enough to go boating on the lake, something their parents and grandparents were happy just to watch. Hope to be able to return in years to come.

Extremely warm welcome from Anne and Olivier on arrival with delicious welcome gifts. The house was immaculate and provided everything needed for a fantastic holiday for 3 generations. The pool was great with the retractable roof and we had many hours of pleasure playing darts, ping pong and pool. There was wildlife in abundance and we especially enjoyed watching the otters.

L'Audurière exceeded our expectations in so many ways. Spotlessly clean, very well equipped, and with plenty to keep all the family (across three generations) happily entertained. A warm and friendly welcome was matched by the comfort of the gite itself. The pool is marvellous, the lakes and grounds spacious, the setting tranquil - it's a beautiful place to stay and made for a memorable family holiday. Thank you, Anne and Olivier!

Our stay at L'Auduriere Les Herbiers in Les Herbiers, France was an absolute dream come true for our family of nine. From the moment we arrived, Olivier and Anne, our gracious hosts, made us feel incredibly welcome and attended to our every need. This countryside gite provided the perfect setting for a week-long escape, offering an array of amenities and a location that exceeded our expectations. The gite itself was a haven of relaxation and entertainment. The indoor swimming pool, ping pong table, bulles court, fishing pond with a boat, and pool table kept us entertained throughout our stay. The Wi-Fi was excellent, allowing us to stay connected and plan our daily adventures. The comfortable beds and well-equipped bathrooms provided a restful retreat after our busy days. One of the highlights of our stay was the kitchen, which was stocked with all the necessary appliances and tools. We took advantage of this and created unforgettable family dining experiences together. The walking trails around the lake offered a chance to immerse ourselves in nature and enjoy the serene surroundings. Situated in the countryside just outside Les Herbiers, the gite offered a peaceful and idyllic setting. We were delighted to discover many excellent restaurants nearby and the popular Puy du Fou theme park within easy reach. The spacious gates of L'Auduriere comfortably accommodated all nine of us, and the immaculate cleanliness and tasteful decor added a touch of elegance to our stay.

We feel so, so fortunately to have found this wonderful property and its lovely hosts. From the moment we arrived, we were delighted: the pictures don't capture quite what a gorgeous setting this is. The rooms are comfortable, with plenty of different options for larger parties, and the rest of the accommodation is absolutely brilliant for families and groups... It's been thoughtfully designed, is stocked well with equipment and necessary items in each room, and every space is a pleasure to be in. We spent our days relaxing in the pool room (so versatile with the moving doors and roof), the beautiful lounge with pool/billiards table and in the large grounds. Our favourite spot was down by the lake, where we saw a myriad of wildlife including Kingfishers, otters and various waterfowl. This is a place to get away from the pace and stress of life, and as a base to access many other local amenities - it strikes a brilliant balance. The welcome from Olivier and Anne was wonderful, and their communication throughout our stay was timely and helpful. We very much hope to return one day to this idyllic place, and will remember it fondly always.

We had the most wonderful, peaceful and relaxing stay here thoroughly enjoyed by all. We were 3 Families and there were plenty of space. The setting is very beautiful and picturesque but a short 10 minute drive to a local town. There was plenty to do. Our host was very attentive and helpful at all interactions. Overall a fantastic holiday had by all and we’d love to visit again.

This was a wonderful place to stay, with plenty of land to explore plus a small lake complete with rowing boat! The views from the villas were really attractive and we saw deer on several occasions. It really is the ideal location if you want to get away from it all and enjoy the French countryside. The highlight of the villa was the wonderful pool, which we all enjoyed, with its retractable pool cover and roof. The bedrooms were comfortable and the bathrooms served two families of 5 well. The hosts were kind and welcoming and easy to communicate with. Overall highly recommended!
