Grey Goose: Oceanfront Escape, Backyard Oasis + Prime Location

Pool and hot tub are wonderful. Access to beach is great. Plenty of room for a large multi family gathering.

We recently stayed at this property and while the space and location were wonderful, our overall experience was very disappointing given the price we paid. There was a construction crew on-site throughout our stay, which made using the pool awkward and uncomfortable as workers frequently came and went through the pool area. The top balcony was completely unusable since it was being used to store construction equipment, and the master bathroom was also not functional because it opened to that balcony and offered no privacy.Parking was another major issue, as the crew’s vehicles regularly occupied the spaces. One day we were even unable to get in or out due to work trucks blocking the way. On top of that, we had several problems with the hot tub and grill, both of which we reported, but nothing was ever addressed during our stay.For the cost of this rental, we expected a much higher level of service and basic functionality. Unfortunately, the experience did not match the price or the promise of the property.

The house was in a perfect location/fully stocked with everything we needed. It was a wonderful week. BASK property manager personnel were awesome!!!

Beautiful home with no complaints. Highly recommend for 10-15 people.Only small hiccup was that water was initially turned off due to potential freezing in the area, but was restored within 30 minutes of notifying the property manager. Very responsive.

Of all the disappointing incidents that occurred during our recent stay (Sept 2024) it was the very poor and uncaring response from the managing agency (BASK Away) and owner (Christine) during our stay. Also contacted VRBO whose response was the owner failed to respond to their numerous calls and they could do nothing to help. To keep this as brief as possible only the more serious problems are reported. At arrival we found no running water in half of the house with no hot water there as well. A tech visited and said a part was needed and he did what he could to provide hot water but it lasted only a few hours. Later another tech said the same thing and finally on the fourth day of our stay the part was approved and installed. Had hot water been provided as expected it would have stopped the necessity of guests needing to use other guests bathrooms which was inconvenient & embarrassing. Shower curtain covered with mold, carpet runners worn and soiled, carpet in bedrooms dirty, only 3 of 8 TV’s worked, TV in rec area on 1st level was finally replaced on Friday, a day before departure, but TV did not work & that installation knocked out 1 of 3 working TV’s in the living room, outside shower was covered with trash, sand and sea shells and had to cleaned by guests (no hot water for 4 days). Inspection poorly performed if at all. Closing now having used all allowable space but other problems were encountered as well. Obviously will not be using VRBO/BASK in the future.

This year I tried Bask Away and everything was great. The house was beautifu and very clean. The rentals for chairs was easy. The lady who brought our chairs out and put them in every night was very kind. I would recommend Bask Away 100%.

Outdoor pool area is exceptional. Needs new gas grill. Home is roomy/great layout (there were 9 of us). Access to beach excellent. Cookware needs replaced and stove burners not all functional. Only 2 worked. Blender broken. Need small dresser or chest in 2nd level bedroom to put clothes in. No storage or chair to sit on. Management team exceptional!!

The house itself was very beautiful and had plenty of room for our large family. That being said, I felt like the kitchen was under stocked with usable pans, no trash bags, no hand soap. The management was responsive to our needs though and brought those items to us right away. I just feel like for this size house, ample trash bags and soap should be supplied. The location of the house was perfect, the beach was beautiful, and the pool was great for our grandchildren.

My wife and I along with our four children and our daughter-in-law spent a week in this house for our annual beach vacation (family tradition for over 30 years). Great house. Well laid out and spacious. Kitchen and common areas were fantastic. Our second time renting through BASK Away. them. We definitely recommend them. Great service. Nice people and very responsive.
