This is a lovely home, beautifully decorated and appointed, in a convenient and charming location. We stayed here on the final leg of our New England adventure and we truly saved the best for last. The home could not be more comfortable or enjoyable. Thank you, Maryalice, for sharing your charming home with us!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Arlington and Maryalice's home was great! The house is very large and contains about any utensil or amenity you could need. The home also has many interesting decorations and every comfort of 'being home.' Arlington is a charming town and our stay happened to coincide with a Friday evening Farmer's Market that we enjoyed and found some delicious baked goods to purchase for the rest of our Vermont stay! We would highly recommend The Chocolatorium. The house was very clean and well-stocked.
This was a perfect accommodation for six family members attending a wedding at the West Mountain Inn. The house is beautifully appointed with comfortable beds and everything needed for a great stay.
Four of us drove up from Philly on a Friday night and had to, unfortunately, leave after our second day of skiing at Stratton on Sunday. So, we only had two nights at Mary Alice's cozy house. Next time, we intend to try to stay here for a whole week and enjoy the cute little village of Arlington and the bigger town of Manchester along with skiing at several of the half dozen ski mountains close enough for day trips. The house has absolutely everything you could possibly want for a vacation in Vermont (except you need to bring your own firewood for the fireplace - BYOF). If you don't bring wood, there are several places locally where you can purchase it. The house is way bigger than the photos make it appear and it includes tons of books, DVDs, every kitchen item known to man, and lots of interesting decorations and knickknacks... We really loved our brief time here and wished we could have stayed longer. Thank you for renting your quaint house to us ! Totally recommend it to families or groups of friends of all ages. We were pleasantly surprised with our Arlington home. The home was so cozy and inviting with an historic feel. We loved that we were close to both Manchester and the mountains. The Arlington Inn, located across the street from the house, was a real find. After a day of skiing and dinner at the Arlington Inn, it was quite a treat to be able to make a fire back at the house. We will definitely keep this lovely house on our list for the next time we are back up in Vermont.
This lovely home is so thoughtfully furnished and appointed that we did not lack a thing that we needed or wanted during our stay. And it's a fantastic location, convenient to everything, with wonderful views in the back. Highly recommended!!!
A wonderful Vermont feel to the house. Warm . comfortable and impeccably clean. We enjoyed this home immensely and will look to return again in the future. The owners are very thoughtful and informative and respond very quickly to any inquiries.
Nice well equipped historic home. Three nice bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathrooms. Nice view out in the backyard of the mountains and the Battenkill river. The cows were an added bonus. The house had an ideal location for our annual Octoberfest with family and friends. Walkable to downtown Arlington, close to our annual visit to Jonathon's Table restaurant, and our gathering place for our group up on the Kelley Stand. My only wish is that even though they had a nice looking claw tub in one of the bathrooms I would have preferred a shower instead.
We stayed 2 nights at this lovely Arlington home. It was lovely, wonderfully furnished and with all the comforts of home. Had an amazing library selection. Would highly recommend.
This is a beautiful, warm and cozy home. Its even more beautiful than in the pictures. We loved it very much and had an amazing family time. It is very spacious and very beautifully decorated with so many special antique pieces of furniture that give this house a special charm. It is very clean and well maintained and it has everything that you would need - the kitchen fully stocked, the bathrooms fully stocked, a lot of books, movies and games. We loved the library. We enjoyed many family meals in the dining room. The weekend we stayed here was very very cold outside, but this house was so very warm - the heat is amazing! It made me very happy. There was a lot of snow and it was so beautiful outside, the whole scenery around the house. The location is very nice - only 7-8 miles to Manchester, a wonderful little town, its like 25 mins drive to Bromley Ski and like 40 mins drive to Stratton Ski. The street is nice and quiet. The owners were very easy to communicate with and answered all our emails very quickly. They have a caretaker that is on premises who greeted us when we arrived and was very nice and friendly. The time we spent there was so relaxing. We are really looking forward to coming again to this charming beautiful home. Thank you MaryAlice and Phil for sharing your home with us.
