Stayed Nov 14, 2025Lisa is absolutely wonderful. We showed up on Thursday to check in, but I had actually booked check in for Friday in error. Lisa was so gracious and accommodating. The house is beautiful, the pictures do not do it justice. My husband and I were more than satisfied with staying at the house. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bathrooms were amazing. We would stay there again in a heartbeat. Also the neighborhood is great and the house is so close to Magazine Street. We had frozen coffee from CJ Coffee Shop that was out of this world.

Stayed Oct 11, 2024Two of the evenings we stayed here there were wonderful neighborhood “block parties”— reminiscent of the celebrations of Social Aid & Pleasure Clubs (and maybe that’s what they were!) from when I was in New Orleans in years past— with small brass band “parades” and lots of good cheer. The home is about 4 blocks from Magazine Street (great restaurants & shops), though it was not clear to me whether we would or would not be safe walking these particular blocks at night. The house itself is a “duplex” style, with privacy (a shared wall with another space, through which we could occasionally— but not a lot— hear others). The space has some New Orleans character (posters of local music shows or other performances, Mardi Gras beads, etc). It is also a hodgepodge of older, gently worn, mismatched furniture, random dishes & such (and no basic ingredients like sugar, oil, salt, etc in case you intend to cook there). One bed was quite soft, the other was quite firm. It was comfortable as a place to end & start the day— we weren’t spending much time there in a city with so much to offer, and it was in a great location for some key NOLA places & experiences. And though we didn't meet them, the owner seemed nice & pretty responsive via text. In my opinion, it earned 4.5 stars (but we can only give whole numbers so I rounded up)— but for its price & location we would consider it again, if needed!

Stayed Nov 1, 2024This has to have been the cleanest VRBO rental we have stayed in. Lisa was an excellent host and did a great job communicating with us about our stay. I highly recommend her place and we would gladly use it again on our next trip to New Orleans.

Stayed May 24, 2024Exactly as advertised. Host was great! Host met us at check-in and explained the neighborhood, recommended local food choices, and gave us some insight to local norms. Would definitely recommend to friends travelling to New Orleans, and will definitely be our first check for availability when we return.
