Spent a great Christmas holiday in Grandma’s House with our family. Plenty of space for 4 couples, well-equipped kitchen, and comfortable beds. Easy stroll to the Boho Manor for cocktails around their fire pit. We had a great time!
Steven is a fabulous host and a joy to work with! He made certain that our repeat stay was delightful!
Great location. The house is fully equiped with everything you need for indoor and outdoor activities. Beautiful deck that looks out at the river below. Access to the river is not easy for people with infants or anyone with any physical limitations. That being said we had a great time on the river. The house needs some loving care. The owner, Stephen, is very responsive and personable. All in all everyone in our group enjoyed their stay.
This is our third stay at grandmas house. We love the property, easy access to the water, and amenities of the home. Truly all the comforts of home in a rental fit for family gatherings! Plenty of space for a group, but the rooms provide privacy as well. Host was highly responsive, helpful, and made our stay an enjoyable one. We will be back!
This was our third time staying at Grandma's House. We love this space and the easy access to the river.
We all had more than enough room. Everything was so nice. Lots of kitchenware, spices and condiments. Kids enjoyed the canoes and blow ups. The rope swing across the river was enjoyed by my grandkids and parents. Sitting on the deck with a cup of coffee in the morning was so beautiful and quiet. We’ll be back
Third time at Grandma’s House, first time renting and not as someone’s guest. Will definitely be back, we love it here. The property has river access, a great deck and 4 rooms, all with private bathrooms. A central living room and kitchen area tie everything together and make great gathering spaces. Plenty of things to do at the property: pool table, piano, grilling, lounging or walking the gardens. River access is a little steep (for the elderly) but easy enough for most. The house is stocked with water crafts and floats but we brought our own. Directly across is a fun rope swing to swing into the river. We paddled all day, grilled and drank at night. Not a bad way to spend a day. If that’s not enough, cute Guerneville is nearby with enough restaurants shops and bars to keep one busy. It’s also near wineries and wine country. We loved the rustic charm and the entire process was easy. Our only minor snafu was the grill bring out of propane, which was rectified in a matter of minutes with the host dropping off a new one along with a bottle of wine. Thank you! Bartlett’s is walkable for emergency supplies. Neighbors and neighborhood seemed friendly. It was a great time.
Great, fun property. Great location and fantastic river access. Having the sandy shore as well as a floating dock was awesome. Kayaks, canoes, paddle boat, inter tubes and life jackets of all sizes were provided. House is great. Yes, old fashioned but by design. Very roomy, beds comfy, kitchen worked well. Would definitely stay again and very likely will be back next year. Stephen was super helpful. Clear instructions with lots of info and suggestions. Thank you, we really enjoyed our stay
This was our second time staying at Grandma’s house and we loved staying there! It is great for large families with a lot of stuff to do for everyone! We will definitely stay there again!
This place is so welcoming and fun. We loved the river access with a rope swing right across the river. The home is spacious and fun, and the outdoor areas are wonderful. Stephen was so helpful with everything. The house is full of local history and quirky in a good way! It's a wonderful place for a peaceful retreat or a fun silly weekend. We did both in the same week, with friends and family rotating through for visits on the lawn and dinners on the porch.
We usually go to the Russian River in the summer to play in the river. But this time, in the middle of the California crazy-rains, we took a week away with the family to recharge. We were cozy, and cheered by the fire and the Xmas lights. The house is perfect to spread out in. We had a giant puzzle spread out in one corner, an indoor exercise bike in another, and I was cooking up a storm in the kitchen. It is the perfect mix of togetherness with room to do what you need to. We love this house. We'll be back again!
We enjoyed the canoe and the pool table. There were lots of dishes and cooking equipment for making Thanksgiving dinner.
Our stay at Grandma's House was exactly as described. There is a lot of history in the house and it is a bit like stepping back in time to a riverside resort stay with original furnishings from earlier Bed and Breakfast days. The house is quite large and our family of 7 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs had plenty of time to spread out. It's a little quirky but we actually enjoyed that about the house. The owner Stephen was very responsive to all of my questions and is very familiar with the Russian River area and offered great suggestions. We all had a great time.
Outside and grounds are impeccable, absolutely love it. Inside it's dark, kinda 'old' feeling, funky with old pics and taxidermy... you have to be OK with it being a little 'different'. It was right up our alley!
This is an amazing property- beautiful landscaping, right down to the river. We had such a great relaxing time. The kitchen was huge. We played pool and lit a fire on a chilly evening.
Beautiful property. Older, funky, vibe inside house which is how it is depicted on line so it was as I expected. Good communication with property manager. Overall, a very nice experience.
We stayed with friends in May of 2022. The river setting and the grounds are really nice. The house is old and funky, which is fun, but there is a lot of deferred maintenance— burned out light bulbs, damaged countertops, dishwasher not installed correctly, etc. The kitchen is very well-stocked and functional. Overall, it worked out fine.
