Gorgeous Lakefront Home: Private Pier, Boathouse, Kayaks - Fish From the Dock!

Host was very responsive. Amenities were as advertised. House and property was clean and very well kept. Very pleasant stay once again.

Very easy communication with the host; location beautiful and convenient to getting into downtown; house was clean, comfortable & well stocked in the kitchen and with towels /bedding.

Lovely house all around. Sunsets and sunrises are beautiful with a clear view of the entire sky. All the bedrooms are ample and the kitchen is well stocked and large enough for everyone to help. Its very peaceful at night with a great view of the stars.

Check-in was super easy! We were given a code prior to checking in and it worked perfectly. The kitchen had every utensil and pot or pan you needed. There were also two coffee makers- drip or Kuerig.

The house was well stocked with everything we needed. The lift was especially nice for loading and unloading our luggage, coolers, etc.

We had the best vacation at this rental! Very clean and beds were very comfortable. They had everything you would need for fishing and cooking seafood. We had the most fun fishing on the dock! Gorgeous views. Lake life was so relaxing. We will be back!

The house and property are gorgeous and looked just like the pictures. Laurie and her husband have just about anything you could need at the house. Laurie responded to my messages quickly and is great with recommending places to eat and sights to see.

What a great place! It was clean and stocked with anything you could possibly need! Right on the lake. We'll be staying again for sure!

Comfortable house, kitchen had everything and more. Lots of extra amenities. Laurie was very responsive. Sunrise was amazing every day. Plan on bringing drinking water.

We had a great time visiting New Orleans and surrounding areas and then able to be outside the city and relax when we were done. Loved being on the lake and watching the sun rise every morning.

Thank you, Laurie! You are an amazing host and we loved our long weekend on Lake Catherine. The house was stocked with everything we could have needed and then some!!! We only wish there had been fish for catching (probably just not the right time of year). But there were plenty of alligators that entertained us! Lol!!! This was absolutely the perfect place for us to relax, unwind and reconnect. We make a trip to NOLA every year and now that we’ve found this beautiful home, we may add a fews days to our annual getaway for some much needed rest and relaxation!

Our family enjoyed our vacation at Island Girl. We arrived after dark. Laurie left the lights on for us. This property is well furnished and clean. We had everything we needed. We enjoyed using the kayaks, fishing from the dock, and relaxing in this quiet and scenic location where there is an abundance of wildlife. It is located just a short drive from the French Quarter. I do recommend bringing plenty of drinking water and bug repellent.
