Stayed Sep 26, 2025We liked the property itself. Unfortunately we arrived to a water leak affecting two floors, as well as to no hot water and limited heat. Host Steve responded quickly to our report of these issues and offered us use of part of his home or a second, smaller property for the weekend. We had already moved in here and otherwise found neither other scenario was ideal so stayed put. House was well-supplied in some ways, not in others. Appreciated that there was not a lengthy to do list left by host for our departure, as there often can be at properties.

Stayed Aug 13, 2025This home was beautiful! Very nice and extra clean! It was the perfect stay for all our guests as we got married on the top of Whiteface Mountain. We would highly recommend this home to all. We will be back for another stay in the winter months to ski. Perfect location for Whiteface Mountain. This home is also close to Keene and Lake Placid.

Stayed Aug 7, 2025This house is bigger than we expected and slept 8 of us very comfortably with plenty of room to spare. It had everything we needed and was well stocked with necessities (sheets, towels, tp, kitchen items, etc.) It was less than ten minutes to get to Whiteface Mountain, High Falls Gorge, the Flume Trails (our favorite place!) and the Highway up Whiteface Mountain. Check-in was flawless and we were all very comfortable here. I highly recommend this house, especially if you have a group of 8 or 10.

Stayed Oct 4, 2024The house was great for our needs. We ate in each night in a lovely kitchen that had all the cooking intensils you needed. We hiked every day in Keene valley on some beautiful hikes with great Fall foliage. It was only 20 minutes away. The bedrooms were very comfortable. If there was any downside it was there were not Enough comfortable seating for 6 people. But then again there was an enormous Den TV and sofas. Loved the place.

Stayed Sep 27, 2024My family and some friends came up for the WHOOP UCI World Cup in Lake Placid. The house is exactly as described, really close to both Mount Van Hovenberg, and downtown Lake Placid. We did not get a chance to use the sauna, but it was definitely a great extra to have on the property! We’dstay again!

Stayed Aug 3, 2023We stayed 3 night and there were 6 adults and 1 child (age 11). This was our second time staying at this property and don’t have anything bad to say. It is comfortable, with plenty of space for all of us, inside and outside. The fire pit is a huge plus. It is in a quiet location, yet only 10 min drive to Lake Placid/Mirror Lake area. We will definitely be staying here again. Thanks Steve
