Stayed Jun 22, 2026First and foremost, I appreciate my first time experience with Vrbo to be a great one. The communication with the Host was helpful. My family vacation at the beautiful Nolin Lake cabin was so comfortable. We made lifelong memories during our first time in Kentucky. The cabin was clean, spacious, the kitchen is beautiful and beds were comfy. The Host has everything you can think of, from extra pillows to extra towels. Two coffee makers, pots and dishes. The path to the lake was so charming. The hot tub was relaxing. Sitting on the back porch is cozy and peaceful. It felt like we were sitting in the trees with sparkling light coming through from the reflection off the lake. I loved starting my day with my coffee on the back porch. There’s something very special at 268 Lilac Lane.

Stayed Apr 6, 2026Such a wonderful spring break. The ferry is open again so it only took 30 mins to mammoth cave. Just check out nps website for daily updates on the ferry bc it can change. The property was just like photos. Outdoor fireplace was used everyday. Favorite place to end the night. Hot tub was so nice. The loft was quiet enough for kids to sleep too. Host was very nice and responsive. We even stayed an extra night bc having so much fun. My kids want to come back and try fishing next time. My daughter loved the short walk to the lake. Would come back!

Stayed Mar 29, 2026We really enjoyed our stay at this property! The house was stocked with everything we needed. The kids loved the hot tub. We also used the outdoor deck for nightly dinners and fires. Thank you for providing the fire logs. We would have liked more information on accessing the lake. We weren’t quite sure what trail to use or where we could go. We brought our own fishing poles and the kids caught a few fish. Kayaks would be an amazing addition to the amenities of the house. The house is very remote. It took several twisty and turny roads to get there. Overall, a nice place to stay!

Stayed Jul 8, 2025Beautiful home! We enjoyed the layout and open space where everyone had their own favorite place to relax. The covered porch was a great spot to sit and listen to the birds in the morning. We would have liked to enjoy the hot tub, fire pit and covered porch more, but the evenings just don’t quite cool down enough in the summertime. Great rental for large families !

Stayed Jun 30, 2025Definitely Superhost property and status! Very clean. Plenty of room for our family of 8, kids ages 12-21. Beds were super comfortable. Plenty of linens & towels. 3 full bathrooms were a plus. Kitchen well stocked with dishes, pots/pans, utensils and condiments. House cools well, as it was very hot in July. Lovely back deck with plenty of furniture. Propane grill used daily. Huge hot tub. Fire-pit stocked with wood. Dock and lake a very short walk…we visited several times a day! Good fishing from the bank. (Marina for boat rental 30 min away). Shady Hollow is a nice golf course 20 min away. WiFi and cell service good. Smart tv’s for down time. Loved the game selection (we suggest “the best friend game” for large groups. Kimberly was easy to contact and quick to reply with any questions. Perfect location for rest, relaxation, nature, laughs, quality time. Our family voted it best vaca yet and we hope to return!

Stayed Mar 25, 2025Lovely house, kitchen was great, kids enjoyed the basketball game and hot tub. Views of the lake are amazing. It's pretty isolated, get your groceries on the way in as stores and restaurants are quite limited. Great base for Mammoth Cave!

Stayed Oct 24, 2024This house was perfect for our girls trip to the Mammoith cave area. The house is as described in listing and the kitchen is well equipped for cooking. The porch was our favorite hang out spot with the beautiful fireplace and plenty of seating. The house is in a remote area, which we expected and enjoyed the quiet neighborhood. The area is beautiful with just a short walk to Nolin Lake. It's less than an hour to Mammouth Cave. We would definitely stay here again Cave Mamcave

Stayed Oct 18, 2024This house was extraordinary. The owners have made sure that every detail is covered. I have stayed at a lot of VRBOs. This one is definitely in the top. This home has all the amenities plus more! The kitchen is fully stocked and the bathrooms come with towels and plenty of supplies. The porch with the fireplace is just amazing. We spent so much time out there playing cards and catch phrase. Its very private and we cant wait to come back. Beds were comfy as well.

Stayed Oct 6, 2024Beautiful home really but apparently, since it’s rural it is ok that there is a live mouse in the bedroom closet and that there is feces in the bedroom.I am familiar with rural and we don’t condone a mouse in the house. I can’t believe I stayed 2 nights to be honest. Dead bugs were found all around ..especially in kitchen. Cleaners were sent to help out after advising owner , however they were sent over unannounced and after 8pm. The house was not clean and looked like it needed a good thorough check in by the owner. Not sure where all those good reviews came from.

Stayed Oct 3, 2024This is our 2nd stay and was just as great as the first! Such a beautiful and cozy getaway! Stocked with all the necessities and plenty of space to spread out. We played board games for hours around the big table and sat out on the beautiful deck which is so peaceful. Such a great experience!
