The cottage is always spotlessly clean. We have returned many times for its homely comfort, the beautiful surroundings and accessibility to the many attractions on the Mornington peninsula. One of our favourite getaways.

Loved being back here, the cottage was spotless and ready for us to settle into. Our dog loves the big fenced garden. We have visited this property a number of times as it is perfect for a relaxing weekend of reading an doing nothing, or heading out to explore the wine and food of the area.

My wife and I have stayed at the cottage many times and thoroughly enjoy each experience. It has a quiet relaxed charm and is so accessible to many attractions on the Mornington Peninsula. Our hosts maintain and present the property beautifully. Communication is prompt, easy and always friendly. Our miniature schnauzer loves exploring the expansive yard and enjoys a cosy spot by the wood heater in the colder months. We are planning another stay this year.

Had an excellent stay. So peaceful and relaxing and a good recharging of the batteries. We had 2 labrador pups with us who enjoyed it equally. The host, Caroline, was lovely and couldn't have been more helpful. 10/10 would stay again, highly recommend .

The ‘Olive House’ (what we call it) never disappoints. We have stayed several times with our dogs and always enjoy our stay. It’s so peaceful and cozy and quiet. We walk our dogs between Merricks and Red Hill each time and now with the brewery up the road, we have a nice place to stop for lunch and a drink on the way back to the cottage. My husband is a golf enthusiast so we will be back next year so he can play golf just around the corner. Thankyou again Catherine.

This was our second stay in this lovely Cottage with our pair of old and young dogs. Everything we could wish for is here for a relaxed and comfortable stay in a lovely rural environment. Yet there are shopping and cafe facilities not 15 minutes away. We have been peaceful and private, while our hostess, Catherine, could not be more welcoming and helpful. We hope to be back again soon!

We were two couples, cottage was ideal, Catherine was a lovely host and made us welcome and was available if needed. We loved our stay, very close to wineries. We also cooked dinner one night in the well equipped kitchen and it was handy having a washing machine. We would definitely book again and the cottage is highly recommended.

We were a party of three adults and one dog. The house is in a quite countryside location on a large plot, yet only a 20 min drive to the Coast, shops and restaurants. Walks and off leash areas for the dog. Just perfect

We had a wonderful stay at Gooseberry Cottage. The property is so charming and peaceful, it felt like we were miles from anybody but just minutes from the best of the Peninsula. Great for birdwatching from the gorgeous back decking or just put the feet up to unwind. We loved every minute. Catherine is a lovely host, right there if we needed anything but certainly not interfering in any way. Totally accomodating and genuinely warm. Thank you Catherine. Stuart, Michelle and Big Lemmy.

Beautiful location...private, quiet and very pretty in the garden. The cottage is well appointed and clean. Safe and inviting if you have a pooch to bring with you. Well fenced, large garden. Catherine has done a wonderful job. Don't need to bring much. Thanks Catherine for another lovely stay!

Our 5 day stay was a slice of heaven. I was surprised when I walked in, about how big it was - from the photos I thought the cottage would be smaller. The fire was going when we arrived, everything was spotlessly clean and homey. Catherine popped by to welcome me, she's lovely. The area that's fenced off around the property is large - my big dog loved it. That's rare in a short-term rental property I find but you need it if you have a big dog. Everything worked, the showers were hot, plenty of natural light. We really only used the wood fire as heating while we were there, even though it was coat weather. Go. You'll love it.
