Golden Sands Retreat-Lakefront, Boat Slip, & Games

We came for the long holiday weekend with extended family, including adults, teens and children. The space was perfect indoors and out!

This was our 2nd year at this property. It was perfect for our large group. We loved the beautiful house, spacious kitchen, the garage gameroom, the patios, the beach and the lake. We hope to return again next summer.

This has become our yearly go-to place for our family to all get together. It’s large enough for us and we especially love the large kitchen with extra utility space to store all our food. The two refrigerators are a BONUS! And they really keep the stickers under control in the yard and in the sand - makes for great barefoot lake vacation and family baseball game in the sand. We did have a little accident with a cut foot in the water and there was not a first aid kit to be found. That would be our only suggestion for the owner to have one for access if needed. But really, they’ve thought of everything else. GREAT PLACE TO STAY!

We had a wonderful time at this property. This was the first vacation rental that we had ZERO complaints about. The pictures listed don’t do it justice. It was clean, plenty of room for our 10 adults and 5 children. Fully stocked kitchen with appliances etc. very comfortable beds and pillows. Lake was beautiful (be careful walking down, there are stickers in the grass). Overall, we had a wonderful time and will definitely be back if we need that much space.

We just had the best stay this weekend celebrating birthdays with family and friends. The house was better than described! We had so much space, everything was well stocked, the second kitchen gave us so much space with our large group, and the location was just incredible! The owner was really great at communicating and responded instantly with any questions I had. We will definitely stay here again!

My family looks forward to our annual beach time at the lake and we are never disappointed! The house is perfect, has been recently upgraded, and has plenty of room for our 6 grandkids, 6 adult kids, and my 93 yr old mom to spread out and enjoy the lake. The lakefront beach is great for kids as they can walk right in to the water, play with the kayaks, paddleboards, and fish from the dock. The kitchen couldn't be better - well-equipped, lots of counter space, and a huge utility room for storage. Jeff, the host, is friendly and always ready to assist. We've rented many houses on Lake LBJ and this one is, by far, our favorite!!

This was the perfect spot for kids and adults of all ages. The sandy beach is amazing for little ones and there are so many games available in the game room for when they need a break from the water. The adults loved the peaceful views from the house, a well stocked house and happy children. We can't wait to come back!

Each year we come here because its the perfect place with enough space for our family and grandkids to build memories each year. The kitchen and extended kitchen/utility has 2 refrigerators and 2 dishwashers and plenty of counter space to feed this bunch. The 3 updated bathrooms were a nice surprise. The best surprise was they took care of most of the sticker burrs in the large yard and sandy beach area this past year. Consequently, we were able to comfortably play a game of wiffle baseball barefoot and not worry about the stickers. Thanks Jeff for thinking of everything needed for a great vacation!

They thought of everything! The home was equiped with large groups in mind. The 2 refrigerators/freezers, 2 dishwashers, undercounter ice maker, silverware/dish service for large number of people were awesome. We didn't lack for anything. The bedrooms slept our group of 16 perfectly. The kitchen was roomy as well as the living areas. The separate game room was a HUGE hit with everyone. The beach and beach toys were very much enjoyed by all. Of all the homes we have rented in the Kingsland area, this is by far the best!! We can't wait to return next year!

The house was fantastic! Very roomy. High-tech appliances... took me a while to learn how stovetop worked! Sand and shallow water great for kids. But still deep enough to jump off end of dock. A little farther to water than we're used to and walking back up that hill to the house ... whew! Need more lighting in back yard though. We had to buy some battery lights to light it up. And parking area is not big enough.
