Golden Dunes Luxury Log Home Overlooking Lake Michigan

Everything was perfect except for 2 things: 1) the mirror in the main bathroom needs to be replaced, as you cannot see yourself clearly in it and 2) the umbrella on the patio needs to be better secured in the patio table (i.e. the part that would prevent it from blowing away/ out of the table is broken outside). The owners are probably unaware of these things, but if addressed/ considered it's a 5/5 for sure.

We had a wonderful experience. The host was great to work with and accommodated our request to bring a pet after we made our reservation indicating we wouldn't be doing so. The cabin was comfortable. I think my favorite feature was the open concept living room where wecould be together while still engaging in different activities such as reading by the fireplace, wat hing TV, cooking in the kitchen and playing games at the table. The view was great, and while the cabin wasn't right on the lakeshore, we could see the sand dunes and the lake from the cabin. We also liked that the cabin felt secluded due to its long drive even though there were other homes visible. It was a perfect getaway to relax and spend time with family.

This house is like paradise. Up in the woods for ultimate privacy and makes you feel like you're in the forest. And the views of the dune's and lake Michigan sunsets were beautiful. Thank you so much for letting us enjoy your piece of paradise.

3rd stay. Great house and close to everything. We come every year. 5-6min from dune ORV entrance. Easy check in and out.

This is the 2nd time I stayed in the Golden Dunes cabin. It is private with a view but convenient to Hart, Mears and the Dunes. I have family in the area and was able to accommodate several family get togethers. We love staying here!

The house is lovely and the land around it is as well. Everything you could want in the house is available. Wi-fi is spotty and cell service in the area is extremely limited. We did need to drive pretty much anywhere we wanted to go. That’s my only complaint for the area but it’s not a fault of the property by any means.

We really enjoyed this log cabin. Could see Silver Lake Dunes and Lake Michigan from the deck and upper loft. Very clean. Great location. We found many new low key restaurants. The trails were very nice for our dog. Would highly recommend.

We loved the house! The deck! The view! The trails!! The beach! The roller coaster! The dune ride!!My husband and I plus our four grandchildren had a wonderful time at Golden Dunes!! The house came complete with everything we needed. Our grandchildren especially loved the trails and gathering wood for our campfire. Thank you for sharing your home with us!! We hope to come again next year!

Beautiful property with an amazing view and all of the serenity one coukd ask for. Far enough away from Dunes to avoid the noise the area sometimes brings, but close enough to enjoy the Dunes and all that the Silver Lake area has to offer. The cAbin had literally everything you need from the kitchen to the bedrooms and bathroom. Thank You for providing us with such a great place to land for SLSD Jeep Invasion 2025!

Nice big home with an awesome view of Dunes & Lake Michigan. Woods with deer, cleared area with fire pit. House is close to downtown. We enjoyed our family weekend get away!

Very well kept property. This is our 2nd time staying here. We will be back next year and for years to come! Highly recommend staying here. Also recommended the dollar general near the freeway for basic needs ro save money.

It was a beautiful property, extremely clean,comfortable, and and wonderfully decorated with art by the owner. The kitchen was well-supplied for all of our needs. The location was extremely convenient for us to get to Hart, Pentwater, Silver Lake, and Stony Lake. The only disappointment, and we knew this before we got there, is that it was not as close to Lake Michigan as we prefer to be. Sunset viewings and casual walks on the beach needed to be planned, as the ease of doing so is not just a minute away. Again, we knew this, but it is just something that is really important to us, and we missed that. Overall, it is a lovely place and highly recommended for those who don't have that desire to be closer to the lake. Thank you for sharing it with us!.
