Stayed Oct 24, 2025This home is in a great location with fabulous views. The home is well laid our with a very nice wood burning fireplace in the living room. It is well appointed with everything a guest might reasonably require. Unfortunately, there is an overwhelmingly strong sewer smell that permeates the entire home, rendering it unsuitable for rental. Judging from the fact that there are several robust but completely ineffective air purifiers throughout the home, this is not a onetime event and the owners are aware of it.

Stayed Apr 25, 2025We loved this house so much! It’s unique, comfortable, beautifully decorated, and well-equipped with everything we needed. Sitting on the porch and enjoying the view was a highlight of our stay. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

Stayed Mar 29, 2025Amazingly well stocked with plenty of room to spread out with 2 couples! All dishes, condiments, spices if needed! Great deck with beautiful views! Good parking. One drawback is the winding, narrow, gravel/dirt roads to access the home which could be an issue in bad weather. And we would’ve loved to have had a hot tub on the deck overlooking the beautiful views. (I think many or most of Lydia’s properties have those).

Stayed Feb 14, 2025Well, the home is beautiful. However, there are a couple items that disappointed us. The thermostat for the heat is located behind the door in the living room. Bad location. We used the fireplace so the rest of the house was cold. Bad location. We didn’t find another one. The refrigerator had food in it. Not sure how long it was there. When we used the shower, there was a sewer smell throughout the house. Finally, house and mainly the master bedroom was infested with stink bugs. The master bath sink drains slow.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969House is adorable. All the extra “roomates” we’re not. There were gnats everywhere. Kitchen, bedrooms, bathroom etc. we couldn’t use the bath tubs bc they were full of dead gnats and one with a spider and web. Yes, we could have cleaned them out, but it grossed us out and they Jsut come back. Then trying to fall asleep in the very comfy bed was added difficulty bc you’d have a gnat pelt you in the ear or wherever. The cleaning people did leave a bottle of wine apologizing for the bugs, but advance warning would have been nice; it really ruined the ambiance of the quite neat place to stay. And we don’t drink wine.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969A lovely old home with modern conviences, and a great view, then this is the place to stay. A cup of your favorite hot beverage, sitting in the porch swing, watching the morning unfold is a great start to the day. After a day of adventure, then relax on the deck and watch the evening tire.

Stayed Jun 22, 2024This is the idyllic country home! We loved the feel of the place created by the old wood floors, large windows, high ceilings, and multiple balconies with gorgeous views. It is beautifully furnished and decorated to accompany the country-home theme and the kitchen is very well stocked. It is also very close to Skyline Drive with many trails to choose from. We will definitely be back - highly recommended!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Loved the house and its amazing views. Issues we had code for entry did not work and there were toe-nails on the glass coffee table in the living room when we arrived. Not a good first impression but besides that we loved the house and Lydia resort.
