GITE, CHARMING HOUSE CLASSIFIED 3 STARS IN AMBOISE overlooking the Loire

Cute cottage 2 miles outside of Amboise. Very quant 3 bedroom. Sleeps 6 comfortably. Town was a great location for visiting Chateaus and wineries.

Francoise was a wonderful host and though she didn't speak English and we didnt speak French, Google Translate meant we we were able to communicate perfectly satisfactorily.The house is rather quaint but it's delightful, was immaculately clean and had everything we needed. It is located on the outskirts of Amboise so you will need a car to get anywhere in the town or the area. Amboise is close to numerous chateaux and wineries and the house is an excellent base for day trips in the Loire region.We stayed 5 nights and apart from the house not having a Smart TV we were more than satisfied with the house and the location. We highly recommend Francoise's property.

This house is adorable and convenient to the chateaux of the Loire Valley, and the local grocery store/ gas station. The gardens are beautiful and well maintained. On this topic, the property owner did come unannounced while we were gone to water the gardens. Everyone (including the owner) was a bit surprised when we came back from our chateau excursions to see her there. So, maybe in the future, advance notice to the renter would resolve this. I still give the property a 5 star rating and would stay again. The owner is very nice and, knowing we were newly weds, was so sweet to have given us a bottle of champagne to enjoy together upon our arrival.The town of Amboise is great with lots of restaurants and things to do for visitors of all ages and my husband, who hates urban driving found it extremely easy to navigate.

The property was as advertised and we really enjoyed the beautiful outdoor area to eat some meals together. We stayed during a heat wave and the house was nice and cool. We would happily stay here again.

Overall we were pleased with the stay though there were areas that could be improved. These include lack of comfortable outside seating-just hard seats and uncomfortable folding loungers. The interior also lacked comfortable seating. We didn’t like having to strip all beds at the end of the stay.Franchise was very helpful, property just needs some updating.

Francoise has a lovely home, with lots of space and a fantastic patio. It is beautifully decorated and is well stocked with cups, glasses (for any beverage), cutlery (oyster knives!), pots, pans and just about anything you need. We really enjoyed our stay. The home is very close to Amboise, but it is recommended that you have a rental car as the walk to town would be difficult. However, the drive into town is very easy. Parking is available. We were delighted with this home and would highly recommend it!

The property was spacious with plenty of room to relax both indoors and out. The kitchen was well equipped and the laundry was an extra bonus. We arrived by car so being able to park outside easily was an extra bonus.

Great location just outside of the vibrant town of Amboise. Our family of 3 absolutely adored this place and just what we needed to explore the beautiful Loire Valley wine region; mostly touring the very accessible and well known AOC of Vouvray minutes drive away. The town of Amboise is also only minutes away. Our hostess Francoise couldn’t have been more accommodating. Thanks Francoise for making our stay in the Loire Valley so very special and memorable. Much appreciated - this is a special place and hopefully we will be back to enjoy sometime in the near future.

After almost a week in Pairs, we went down the Loire Valley to explore the chateaux. This gite in Amboise was perfect for our get away. Very conveniently located to the village where there is excellent dining, patisserie/boulangerie, brasseries, and the Chateau Amboise. We also stumbled onto a market area that is available every Friday and Sunday. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable stay, and the gite was perfect for our visit. Francoise was very helpful and got us settled into the gite comfortably.

Françoise was a fabulous host, who exemplified the best of French hospitality. She was very gracious with her time explaining everything (despite my very broken French). The cottage is well appointed with the necessities for making a comfortable base camp when visiting the grand château of La Loire. It was a fabulous time, and our host could not have been more amazing.
