Gidget goes to Culburra

Gidgets somehow managed to have everything. And we mean everything. If you forgot it, odds are it was already there waiting for you. Perfectly located close to the beach, it’s the kind of place where reading a book, cooking a good meal, and listening to the waves as you fall asleep all feel like part of the daily routine (the very good kind).The beds were outrageously comfortable — the sort that makes you question your life choices back home — and the couches were equally dangerous for anyone planning to “just sit down for a minute.”Our dog had the time of his life and was deeply impressed by the toy selection. In fact, he enjoyed his stay so much that he wrote his own review in the guest book. We can only assume it was five stars with bonus paw prints.The outdoor shower was brilliant for washing off sand after swims, and the bath was nothing short of heroic for soothing very tired legs after long beach walks. Add in excellent bird watching, surprise wildlife sightings, and the general feeling that time slows down here, and you’ve got something pretty special.Gidgets is relaxed, thoughtful, and quietly magical — a place we’d return to in a heartbeat (and so would the dog).

Another great stay at Gidgets. Claire is easy to communicate with. The house is very comfortable and has absolutely everything you and your dogs could need. We love all the different outdoor spaces and the dogs love the large fenced yard. And we all love Culburra Beach which is a few steps away.

We have stayed at this beautiful property a few times now and each time it still does not disappoint. Claire is such a wonderful host. The house has everything you need and you feel right at home. Our dog Lucy Lou just loves going to Gidget's, as much us we do. There are plenty of dog bowls, toys and an outside dog bed for her to to lounge with us on those lazy afternoons in the yard. So close to the beach, it is just a perfect place to be. Hopefully we will stay again this year! Thanks Claire!

It was the most relaxing and wonderful holiday we have ever enjoyed locally. The house was beautifully furnished and equipped with everything anyone could possibly need for a getaway. It was so conveniently located, right near the beach and yet not so isolated that we access any items or amenities we needed. Beautiful, just beautiful.

The photos don’t do the justice Property it is truly amazingIt’s only three houses back from the beach and there very private with many little nooks and crannies that you can have your own time. I would definitely come back to this place.The Guest house was a really lovely retreat when you want your own private space, bathroom and little living area. We had neighs on both sides, but both were very quiet and we didn’t hear anything except the waves crashing on the beach

Clare is friendly and easy to deal with. The house is in a great spot and has everything you could ever need.

This place is simply brilliant. Photos do not do it enough justice! Spacious, lovely garden areas, so much thought into little extras.

The property is excellent. People and dogs are catered for very well. The house is very comfortable and the yard is secure. The location is great; it is close to shops and a dog beach. Short drives to other amazing beaches for swimming. The highlight was seeing whales and dolphins from the Penguin Head lookout.

The most beautiful eclectic home filled with everything you could need to have an amazing getaway fantastic location next to the beach we loved everything we did not want to leave, our Pug had a wonderful time relaxing in the fenced yard can not wait to return soon hopefully.
