Stayed Jul 27, 2019This place is even better than the pictures! The kitchen is well stocked, the beach is beautiful, the home is spacious - it was everything we wanted. It was a wonderful spot for a family reunion - there were 12 of us ranging in age from 18 months - 77 years old and all of our needs were met. We would definitely come back!

Stayed Aug 18, 2018Property was great. Owner responds promptly with any questions. It’s BYO toilet paper though, which we found odd. Unfortunately for us, the weather didn’t cooperate. But having the bunk house for the kids, the hot tub, the outdoor shower and lots of space was really nice.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We stayed at the Black Sage Beach House for four days in early September, paying $600 per night. We were a group of three families with six adults and five “children” ranging in age from 16 to 20. We had a wonderful time at the house, enjoying the lake by canoe, kayak (2) and paddleboard. We also took advantage of the hot tub, back yard area (great for games like bocce), propane fire pit, and the small sandy beach. The house is perfectly situated for easy access to wine-tasting tours (which we did), lake activities (which we did) and hiking (which we also did), as well as numerous other activities that we didn’t get a chance to experience this time. We had no problems with the property, instructions or payment (damage deposit was refunded promptly). The house is fully stocked with anything you would need, including what seemed like many dozens of beach and bath towels, every cooking implement you could need, a barbecue and a secondary fridge. The clothes washing facilities were brand-new, high capacity, which made it easy for us not to worry about keeping track of whose towel was whose. While the house came exactly as advertised, there were a few elements that were a little different than we had pictured: • The main part of the house (3 bedrooms, sleeping 8) is a beautifully, recently-renovated one-storey, manufactured home of 1232 square feet. While not small, it is certainly not large for a three bedroom house sleeping 8. • The “bunkhouse” appears to be a converted one-car garage. You cannot get to the main house without going outside (e.g., at night to use the bathroom). While this wasn’t an issue for the kids who were sleeping there in the summer, in the winter it would pose more of an inconvenience for a quick trip to the bathroom in the middle of the night. It was a wonderful weekend away and a perfect location for a family get together for our 3 generations. We wouldn’t hesitate to book the Black Sage Beach House again and we look forward to coming back next year. It is probably the best stocked (cooking implements, towels, condiments, boats) home we’ve ever rented.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969As we discovered, Tuc el Nuit is truly a treasured community. This delightful and well-appointed vacation home made our family's stay perfect. An avid cyclist, I experienced a number of outstanding routes by simply rolling out of the front door. Apex Mtn., Loomis/Oroville, Baldy, Green Lake, McLean Creek Rd…what a selection! Enjoyed great family rides along the greenway/Black Sage Rd. with a dip in the river too. We brought inflatable paddleboards with us and it was so relaxing and serene to survey the lake’s shoreline – the winds always seemed to provide a favorable period to paddle. The hot tub made our swims in the lake just that more enjoyable. Used the warm outdoor shower every day – what a way to complete a ride, paddle, or swim. Dined in the area at: Liquidity, Tinhorn, Burrowing Owl, and Black Hills were all hits, with a few wine and charcuterie stops thrown in for good measure too. That said, some of our best meals were enjoyed at home on the deck. Experienced the best chocolate milkshake at the local corner/candy store. Seriously good. We even found an Alpaca ranch to visit nearby. So many fond family holiday memories created – ones that we will cherish over the years. Can't wait to return!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This house was the perfect home base for our group of 6 adults on our 5-day stay in Oliver. We golfed at Nk'Mip and Fairview under perfect weather conditions. The Festival Of the Grape (a wine harvest MUST DO!) was a mere 15-minute walk away. The hot tub was well-appreciated after all our activities and the deck was lit up by the full moon on Saturday night and we could see the impressive outline of The Chief in the distance. Sunsets were honey golden and reminiscent of Tuscany as the colours of the rolling hillsides reflected in the lake. Our friends from Spokane and Sandpoint, Idaho were duly impressed with the plethora of fine wineries, the amazing golf courses and our perfect accommodation. Thanks, Joanne!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969The place was amazing! It is even better than in the photos. It easily accomodated 14 women. The place is set up very well with everything you need for a weekend away. The house was spotless when we arrived the owners make it easy to leave on the last day. The open kitchen and living room is very comfortable and great for entertaining. The deck out front is a perfect place to relax and suntan. We had amazing weather and the lake was great for swimming! There are many wineries nearby and the town of Oliver is close for all amenities. The place is set up well for families, children and groups of adults. We would all return to this vacation home again!
