A front porch with a view that rivals the most beautiful in the Midwest. Our home is set in a lovingly cared for historic neighborhood perched on the bluff of the Missouri River in the Charming town of Atchison Kansas - Home of Benedictine College.
We renovated our home with families in mind, there’s plenty of room for everyone to stretch out and relax including three separate outdoor spaces Neighborhood amenities are plentiful, from access to walking trails or a short walk tolocal shopping, restaurants, and seasonal farmers markets. Our favorites include neighborhood grocery van Dykes, and the River House restaurant with a beautiful view of the Missouri River. Not to be missed is the nationally recognized Amelia Earhart birthplace home and Museum which is on the block

The house is immaculate. It’s tastefully redone with gourmet kitchen. The front porch has an amazing view. The street is basically a dead end so there’s no traffic. It still has the brick street like you’re in the early 1900s. I can’t recommend this higher. Just come have coffee in the porch either the view.

This was our second time staying at this property. We enjoyed it so much the first time, our family wanted to return. It did not disappoint! Preparing breakfasts in the mornings with the family was a breeze with the well-equipped kitchen and space. The porch was our favorite gathering space in the evenings where we could sit, visit and enjoy the view and peacefulness of the neighborhood. This is a great place to stay if you want to kick back and appreciate a simple ambience in a classic house restored with modern amenities.

Returned to Atchison for a family milestone event and this location accommodated two separate families very comfortably. Amenities as advertised. Home was nicely refinished and nice location for walking into town. Very enjoyable.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this home on the river bank. The view was great, the house large enough for our extended family, there was plenty of room to spread out, and it was very clean and updated. We highly recommend it and will keep it in mind for our next visit!
