Camdenton, Missouri
Come enjoy the lake life in this beautiful and recently renovated 3-bedroom, 3-bath home. The home is located in the 2 mm of the Big Niangua Arm with equal access to fun restaurants and quiet areas of the lake. Amenities include a huge master suite, three full baths, new hardwood floors and kitchen, 100 feet of private lakefront, private dock, 24' boat slip and wrap-around deck off the kitchen. The home sleeps 8-10 and is tucked in the woods, yet only minutes away from grocery stores and Walmart. You will fall in love with this home and Lake of the Ozarks!
The house was great and true to it's pics. The location is right off the main channel, so its a little rougher out on the dock. Had plenty of room for a group of 9.
The host was kind and let us check in a few hours early. A couple things that might help others. 1. No trash sacks. Make sure to bring some. I thought there would be at least one to start us out. 2. Minimal towels 3. Dock - it really needs some TLC. We had a family member step through a big hole by the ladder and hurt herself. Popped nails 4. No electricity on the dock , we wanted to plug in a radio, but the owner did tell us after we questioned it that they are working on it. 5. This isn’t in a deep cove, the waves can be like on the ocean. You won’t be able to have a relaxing swim on this part of the lake. No fault of the owner. 6. House was very nice. Lots of room for family. Mitch was well stocked as well. 7. Would recommend a gas grill be provided as well.
This is a great property and exactly as described! There were 8 of us total- 2 sets of parents and 4 teens and we all had plenty of room to spread out. We enjoyed just hanging out at the house and lounging on the deck and the dock but we were also conveniently close to some great hiking ( HaHaTonka state park is just about 10 minutes away and we loved it!) and grocery stores and other attractions so the location is amazing. The house was clean and well stocked! Would definitely recommend,
Lazy days on the lake! My family throughly enjoyed staying at your lake house. Everything was perfect. Centrally located with our favorite resturants near by. Hope to be back someday soon. Thanks
We had a great stay. Views were amazing from the home or relaxing on the dock. Great location just a quick drive to Camdenton grocery and Walmart. The kitchen in the home is so well equipped and bedrooms and baths were excellent. The lower level is super chilly and the dock needs some repairs, otherwise we were super pleased with this property.
Everything was great from the check in process, cleanliness, and well stocked home. Easy to find, close to Walmart for groceries, and located down a quiet street. Just a few steps down to the dock. AC worked great but definitely colder down stairs. Everything was excellent. The host did not bother us during our trip which was appreciated. There was a nook downstairs which had bunk beds, that was a plus for my kids. Kids were able to stay downstairs and the adults could stay upstairs. Overall this was a great place!! Saturday, the water was very rough due to the boat traffic. Dock was hard to use on that day but does not reflect the host at all. Host can't control the volume of the boats. Kids loved the waves though! Very minor thing, but dock could use a little TLC. There were a few nails sticking up and a few warped boards which could be tripped on. Possibly add a small table with an umbrella for shade. Only issue we had were with the animals. I'm assuming racoons knocked over a trash can one night but it was not one of our bins. We did not use that particular bin. While we were packing up the car, a neighbor came over and politely asked if we were going to pick up the trash. It was not our trash can and I did not feel like we were obligated to pick it up. Just in case, put a heavy rock or something on your trash can!! :)
No problems
This was our first experience using Vrbo. We were amazed at how easy the process was and the house matched the description to a T. Located on a calm arm of the lake for boating with children, with great restaurants, groceries and gas near by. Everything went exactly as planned, even the weather cooperated! When we visit the lake the next time we will check to see if this property is available first.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house was well equipped with all the bath towels, cooking needs and space any Ozark trip would need. We loved hanging out on the dock and the lounge chairs made it easy. We also enjoyed fishing off the dock and caught a load of catfish. The slip was well suited for our 24 foot boat. The location was perfect as we could go one way towards the busier part of the lake or the other to a more quieter part. The kitchen/living area suited us perfectly for eating, playing cards and all of us family hanging out. It was a wonderful stay!
This is the second time we've stayed here for a multi generational family vacation. The house is exactly as described, the location is a short drive to shops and restaurants, with room for extra parking just down from the driveway. The owner is great to work with, very accommodating. He even let us check in a little early. Kitchen is fully stocked. The check-in and checkout process are so easy. Having the dock was wonderful. Would definitely stay here again.
This was a very nice property with good lake access. Most of my family are from the area but it was great spending time with them and enjoying our brother’s boat. Coming from CA was more travel for me but worth it. We love the closeness of the bars and restaurants. The property needs a little TLC but we would book again.
I rented this house with my mom, my sister, and our 2 daughters for a long Memorial Day weekend. It was a great house! Pros and cons as follows: Pros: - great location with easy accessibility to town for groceries, etc - great access to the water, literally 10 second hop skip and jump to the dock from the back door - clean (for the most part, see below for more) - well maintained house (for the most part, see more below) Cons: - common bathroom on main floor has a painted plastic tub (the only tub in the house) - paint was chipping off and the tub did not drain well - if it was clean you would never know it bc it looked really gross - luckily for us, we didn’t really need the tub like you might for bathing little kids - so all showers took place in the master bedroom shower or the shower downstairs - no direct porch / deck access from the house (except thru the master bedroom which is awkward), had to go outside the front door then around the corner to the deck - while odd, this was not the end of the world - temperature downstairs was at least 10-15 degrees colder than upstairs, there were plenty of blankets available however, so even this was not a big deal - if you were thinking you would use the downstairs for a family with little kids and or a baby, then you’ll need to dress them for winter to sleep or pile on the blankets - blanket upstairs for the living room area smelled of BO - hard to get cozy with that scent - I put it in the pile of bedding for them to wash so the next guest should be ok - no spices , not even salt and pepper - we did a good bit of cooking while we were there and were surprised not to find s&p - again not the end of the world - we bought some and left it there for the next guests - no lighter - I bought a citronella candle to keep the gnats away on the deck but we could not find a lighter anywhere While it might seem like there are a lot of cons, this was really a lovely place with just a few oddities. Hence the 5-star rating.
We were looking for a nice house located away from the party scene of Lake of the Ozarks and yet close enough to drive a boat or car if we felt like it. THIS is the place. Nicely modernized house. Very accessible boat slip. Decent eateries not too far away. Great fishing within minutes via boat. Definitely going to stay here again should we have the opportunity to return to the lake.
