Frio Déjà Vu River House – Secluded Hill Country Getaway

Loved everything about the property, it was secluded and offered lots of privacy and space to spread out throuout the house.

Such a lovely, family and dog friendly home! The owner is so accommodating and helpful.The access to the shallow child friendly part of rue river was really cool. It wasn’t too far of a walk to reach the wider, deeper area as well.

The property was cute, clean, and had everything we needed. We picked this house mainly for the big yard. We had 4 teen boys with us and we purchased multiple games (laser tag set, etc), but they couldnt use any of them because the grass was almost knee high and the stickers were EVERYWHERE. We also broughr our poor dog who immediately was covered in stickers and was terrified to walk near the grass. The river access is close and is a beautiful spot though, but if you want to use the yard then I would confirm it has been mowed before your arrival.

Our stay was wonderful! The owner was quick to respond and the house was perfect for our family. It’s off the beaten path and so peaceful and quiet. The drive around the area is absolutely stunning! The house was exactly what we needed for our family of 8 adults. Plenty of room, kitchen was well stocked, and the porch - perfect for game night, enjoying the scenery, and your morning coffee. The river was amazing - clear, private access, quiet, and fun.

This was our 2nd year staying at Dejavu and we loved it. We had an amazing time making great memories. Host was excellent and quick to respond to any questions/concerns we had.

Relax and chill

We loved this home. It was so nice and secluded but close enough to town. It was peaceful and we loved hearing and watching all the birds! The beds were very comfy and the AC was amazing! We had all the kitchen utensils we needed. We loved going for walks in the evening down the dirt road. Unfortunately the only thing we weren’t crazy about was the river. It was really warm compared to the other parts of the frio we’ve been to in the past. We’ve never stayed on the west frio so that was new for us. We walked down and plopped some chairs in and the kids loved the kayak too. The level was perfect for our 3, 4, and 5 year old kids. But we went to garner on other days and it was perfect. Loved this home! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. You won’t regret booking here.

House was extremely clean. Just a few yards from the river. River was clear, we didn’t catch many fish but we had a great time floating and playing. This place was great. AC was cold and plenty of hot water. And beautiful scenery! Kudos!

Overall a great experience. Location was a very short walk to the river. The house is in great condition and very clean. Perfect for a large group.

We have stayed in several houses within the area and this one checked off every box. We were looking for a house where we could house alot of family members since we were celebrating my FIL just being told he was cancer free!As soon as we arrived and entered the home we knew it was the beginning of a great stay. Communication with Julia was amazing. We had a few hiccups(we couldn’t figure out the door lock or the thermostat ) and she was so nice to help us out immediately. The house is super clean, the beds were super comfy, the kitchen was fully equipped, and all the amenities provided were greatly appreciated. The weather was perfect so the kids were able to enjoy the kayaks(one had a few cracks, but we were able tofix it , so the kids were able to use it) and their tubes up/down the river. The adults did a little fishing and tubing as well. Being able to unplugg and enjoy the stillness and quiet days and nights was the best part of this trip. Thanks again Julia for allowing us to stay in your beautiful house and make some amazing memories with our family!

We had an amazing and relaxing stay. Everything was perfect. Check in was easy and we were greeted with baked goods! Our overall experience allowed us to create great memories!

My family has been going to the Frio for 13 years now and this is this is such a great place to stay. Deja vu is private and couldn’t ask for easier access to river, just walk across the yard! Absolutely recommend this place to all my friends.

Everything was wonderful! Communication was excellent. We loved how close it was to the river. Lots of extras that made it even better - games, air compressor, plenty of seating outside. We will be back!
