Gorgeous, welcoming home in the redwoods and definitely very cozy. All instructions made using everything easy. Absolutely LOVED the house being festively decorated. And my family adored the entire place. We are looking forward to staying at The Grove in the future!

Clear directions, clean upon arrival, definitely a somewhat tricky road up- wouldn't want to do for the first time in the dark or bad weather. Projection screen great for watching movies. The bbq and hot tub weren't working but I googled how to fix hot tub and we skipped the BBQ. The largest bed and couches were pretty low and soft. Peaceful location.

The Grove is a terrific, well-appointed home atop a hill overlooking Monte Rio. It served as a comfortable, clean oasis after our busy days out and about. Communication with the property manager was seamless along the way.

Our stay in this wonderful Monte Rio home cannot be overstated. We had a thoroughly enjoyable Thanksgiving week here. The home had everything we needed. The hot tub had a few easily solved quirks, but that was it! We stayed warm, ate well, and really enjoyed the area. We hiked along Jenner Headlands Preserve, wine tasting at Lambert Bridge Winery, awesome sandwiches at The Farmer’s Wife in Sebastopol, and attended an extraordinary concert at the Iccidental Center for the Arts. The Russian River country is special, and staying here made the entire week more special. What’s not to like about watching Thanksgiving football on a projector screen. Looking forward to returning!

Such a beautiful place in the redwoods. The road getting there is definitely unevenly paved with big dips - don’t rec low clearance cars. We have a big truck and it was fine. You just have to park in an angle to make it work. The other car was a sedan and again if you park in an angle it will be fine. Loved the hot tub in the redwoods and the big screen for movies. The base is broken but it’s still very cool. My family of five (two couples ) stayed at the place. The fire pit is lovely. The kitchen has just enough to get by for cooking. Definitely dog friendly. The only downfall is not having a third bathroom for the person staying in the second bedroom next to kitchen as they have to use the master bedroom to get to the bathroom. For families it’s okay but for couples it might be an issue if it bothers you. 15-20 min walk to beach in a very quiet neighborhood. Loved how peaceful it is!

This was our family of six’s (dad, mom, 3 teens and a pup) first experience staying in a vacation home. Boy did you all set the bar high. LOCATION: TREE-mendous spot perched perfectly amongst the redwoods, and I do mean amongst! Yes the drive on a one lane road that carries two way traffic was a bit hairy the first time (I recommend getting here with daylight to spare); however, it just became a fun adventure after the first drive. We were in a minivan, and after I saw a UPS truck squeeze by, I thought, “If he can do it, so can I.”. Just remember your driver’s ed class; cars going downhill have the right of way. Be aware that there’s lots of stairs from the parking spot and in the house. I’m 55 with a back that feels 88, but I was still fine. HOME: Trees envelop you as you sit on one the deck(s) or relax in the jacuzzi. It is quiet and peaceful. The owners thought of EVERYTHING. If you have it in your home, it’s here too. Directions and notes on how things work are everywhere. The binders of information are really helpful.. The pictures don’t do the property justice. The beds were too soft, but that’s a “me” problem. SERVICE: We had a small inconsequential issue which required attention. This being our first experience in a vacation home, I didn’t think it would be quick. I was wrong. A couple of texts and a phone call later, issue addressed! Great customer service.. I wholeheartedly recommend this wonderful home. I would absolutely stay here again.

The house is very nice but located on a very narrow street with difficult parking. We had two larger cars. Parking is a narrow platform and turning radius was a challenge to say the least. The property description should include this information. We would not have stayed here if we had known. Nothing wrong with the house, just would have appreciated knowing about the parking challenge in advance since we had two vans. Also, the beds were a bit too soft.

We loved this house in the trees it was so tranquil. It was layed out so 2 small familys could share this home 1 upstairs 1 downstairs. The beds were very comfortable the kitchen was well stocked. The theatre size viewing screen was a delight for a movie evening. We used the bq on the the deck for quick dinners and roasted marshmallows for s'mores over the firepit. We enjoyed many excellant nearby wineries, tryed river floatubing remember to bring your own tubes or rent some.Monte Rio beach was our go to beach with free parking and dogs allowed. We made some lasting memories with our family here in the Grove house in the trees we will be back.
