We had a fantastic time. The location is actually very convenient. Not too far from downtown Victoria plus all shops that you could possibly need within 5 minutes. The suite was really well equipped. The host had really thought of everything you could possibly need or want. The suite was in immaculate condition and very very clean. Strongly recommended.

The suite was very clean. The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking. Our host, Shena, was pleasant and helpful, knowledgeable about places to visit and how to get there

Everything was amazing. The space was cosy and had all the amenities necessary. Close proximity to all activities. Nice personal touches throughout the home. It is very clean. Highly recommend.

Pet friendly suite, treats, towel for paws, bowls for food and water were nice so didnt have bring my own. Beautiful surroundings. Quiet neighbourhood. Cozy suite with everything one needs for a holiday.

All the comforts of home and more! Lovely spaces! Shena has thought of everything to ensure a warm & welcoming experience. Being next door to the regional park walks, which is also off leash for fur buddies, was a huge bonus!

Perfect place to stay on your vacation! Shena thought of the details folks would want and delivers on them! A sauna with robes to use. Bowl of treats on the island, extra phone cords in case you forgot yours and fresh coffee beans! Her property binder was very helpful with restaurants and places to visit. Good bed, comfy couch and very clean. I’d definitely stay there again!

We have just returned from Canada to the US and are catching up on our mailings. Shena was in excellent communication with us throughout. The bedroom suite was very clean including kitchen, bathroom, living room area and bedroom. The area was mostly quiet but with some background highway noise.There are hikes adjacent to the property which we very much enjoyed.We took day trips on the island which was very easy to do. We did not previously know about the gate in front of the housing area which needed to be opened and closed whenever we arrived or exited the property.It was quite a heavy gate to maneuver but we are in our 70’s. Perhaps it would not seem so heavy for folks much younger than us! All around it was a lovely stay with a pretty forested area to enjoy! Thank you,Shena and family.

This VRBO was a great find. Dog friendly, and just a close drive into Victoria. Lots of space for a small family.

Our second stay at this lovely property did not disappoint. Everything was wonderful, clean, and well laid out. Such a great and quiet location.Nothing bad to say at all, will definitely be back again!

Beautiful, clean and spacious suite right near Thetis Lakes. Check in was easy and the hosts were amazing with quick communication. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked.Looking forward to staying here again.

Our stay was great, it was very comfortable and private. What a nice surprise to have snacks waiting and cold water in the fridge. Easy to find and location was close to family in the area.

Shena is a most welcoming Host and very willing to help answer any questions. She has great attention for detail and the suite is very well stocked, organized, exceptionally clean and cozy. It was most relaxing and the close proximity to the beautiful rainforest and walking trails was a highlight. The sauna, a rarity, is also well supplied. We were thrilled with our stay at Forest Retreat and we will certainly be back whenever we need to be in Victoria. Shena had provided so many thoughtful touches around the place that were most useful and appreciated. The kitchen was well stocked with basics, including foil, parchment, and saran (which are often not available), and sharp food prep knives! (a rare occurrence indeed in our experience with staying in self-contained suites - the knives are usually too dull to cut anything). Loved that there were extra towels and tea towels on hand ... just in case. So many times I take these things myself (when driving to a destination), knowing that you can never count on having everything you need at the rented accommodation. Not so at Forest Retreat - definitely had everything we needed! Bed was super comfy. Back yard was a peaceful oasis. Shena and family (including Guinness!) were very friendly, considerate, and helpful. Communications, and indeed all the instructions and labels in the suite were excellent. We have already told our friends and neighbours up island about this wonderful place, which makes an ideal base for exploring Victoria, the Saanich Peninsula, or Sooke .... or a just a lovely quiet spot to stay when needing to be in Vic for whatever reason. We will be back for sure ... definitely tons to explore near there and many lovely hikes.

This was our second stay and we came away very impressed once again.

We had a wonderful stay here with our two young children. The house is well equipped and furnished to a high standard and very clean. The additional bedding, fans, snacks, washer and tumble dryer were a great help! The location is great, near enough to local shops if you want anything but far enough away to feel secluded and private. Being so close to the woods and walks was great. The host was wonderful, checking in and out was a breeze and communication very quick, personable and helpful.
