Flighted Desire - Oceanfront, partial dividends to local organizations

Flighted Desire was indeed desirable. From the warm welcome from our host, along with clear details about the property, as well as extra amenities for us to use, the overall stay was quite enjoyable. Highly recommend this property, location and working with Emily, who makes this a 5 star property.

The place was awesome, great ocean views from the deck as well as upper balcony’s and bedrooms. Everything was as said and better. The house was very clean and well equipped . I can’t say enough about Emily Romeu, our host. The communications were topnotch. She let us know about places around us as well as food and activity’s. She checked us several times. I highly recommend staying anywhere she is the host.

Our host Emily has an amazing property on Carolina Beach. The home is inviting and clean with stunning views and eco friendly laundry and cleaning a standard. The beds were the most relaxing I’ve ever slept in! Falling asleep to the crashing of waves while sleeping on a cloud…says it all!We will return. This was our first VRBO experience. It did not disappoint!

Host thought of everything you could possibly need! From beach items to a stocked kitchen and laundry. Host was also quick to respond to questions. Checkout list was simple. The balcony’s and views, the deck with fire pit, easy beach access, elevator, comfortable beds, cleanliness made the stay better than we could have possibly imagined. No wonder reviews are consistently 10/10!

My family has been vacationing in Carolina Beach since my mother was a little girl (over 60 years). Previous years we have stayed either in a beach front condo or a house a few rows back. We were so excited to find a house beach front for this years trip and will definitely be returning to Flighted Desire. Accommodations-The house was perfect for my family of 4 (2 daughters, ages 9 and 12) plus my parents plus my sister and brother-in-law. A bathroom in each room, minimal noise transfer between floors, elevator for my parents with aging joints, great outdoor space to watch fireworks, minimal crowds on the beach in front of the house, comfortable beds, list could go on and on. Would caution that the rooms do get rather bright in the morning but there are light blocking shades in all the bedrooms except for one small window in the street facing bedrooms. And a few of the ceiling fans were a little squeaky but nothing too terrible. Location-The location was within walking distance to so many activities that we do every summer (coffee/snacks from the Veggie Wagon, shopping at the Saturday market by the lake, donuts on the boardwalk from Britts, ice cream dates at Squigglys, sushi from Nikki's just to name a few). Host communication-Emily was the best host I have ever worked with to date! We, unfortunately, were in Carolina Beach when a tropical storm passed through and she made sure we felt safe weathering that storm as well sending over additional supplies.

This was our third time staying in this lovely house. The location is perfect. Everything we needed was provided. Look forward to returning next year.

This trip was a gathering of our adult children and their significant others under one roof. I’ve always wanted to stay beachfront and finally did it. Flighted Desire did not disappoint in any category. Location on point, cleanliness on point, stocked house on point, and most importantly communication with Emily was above great. Her time to respond was as if I was chatting with a friend of mine answering all my questions and checking on us and our stay. That’s the kind of hospitality all hosts should have making this a great escape for our Spring Break.We give this five stars plus one. Would definitely stay here again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! This property was very well suited to our family getaway. This was our first vacation with our 5 month old grandson. The design of all four bedrooms having their own bath was particularly helpful. We rented a crib and it fit beautifully in the walk in closet. The house handled baby noise well. Folks sleeping upstairs could not hear the joyful baby noises in the living room. The porch set up beautifully for all of us to have turns in the sun and shade with the baby. The host was very communicative and we did not have any issues with the property. As a family, we have been traveling to CA Beach for over a decade and this is our favorite rental property yet. We will be back!

Very clean and well appointed. The property owner and manager is a pleasure to work with.

This home had plenty of room for eight of us. It is located right on the ocean and close to the boardwalk and restaurants. The views from the house are spectacular and we loved the short walk to the beach. The porch is a great place to hang out and watch the fireworks. We highly recommend this house and Emily was a fantastic host.
