Ferry View-Beachfront Property on Pamlico Sound

Beautiful extremely peacefully and comfortable,if you are looking for a place to reset at this is it.Host were great also..If you have small children this beach area is for you just dont forget the groceries. We had a wonderful time.

The perfect private get away, we never want to leave. Secluded, quite, shallow waters. Perfect for kids and dogs. Big comfortable home away from home....but way better!

Plenty of parking for multiple vehicles or trailer. The property was clean and had all the amenities you need for a relaxing beach vacation. The beach is smaller but you have it all to yourself. Fishing from land in the area is difficult, I'd recommend a charter or bring your boat. The ferry is right next to it so you can easily jump on to it and go to Okracoke. We enjoyed the solitude the property brings and slightly remote so less cell phones and more sand beneath your feet.

Clean nice house. Had everything you might need. Was hard to find place when arrived in dark. Not much lighting. Cars could get stuck in sand road to place. Had a visitor come to door that did get stuck. Back yard leads to sandy area that had a water view which was basically like a sand bar. Too shallow to fish and had no seashells. Did not have waves of ocean to bring them in. Was a quiet area and could walk to ferry. Has stairs to get into place. Very nice layout and back screened in porch. Take groceries with you and plan to cook. Nowhere good to eat that was close.

We had a wonderful stay at this adorable little cottage! We hope to visit again. The views are incredible, and the area is quiet and peaceful. Hosts were great.

Had a great time this is our second time staying here although the weather did not start off good the first 3 days with a nor eastern churning at out banks and kicking up the pamlico sound. The last part of our stay was perfect good place to back my boat in and charge my batteries and the beach out front is perfect for all of my little ones to play in the water. Thanks again

We had the best weekend stay. We have been going to Cedar Island for over 10 years, usually camping with the same group of friends. We have made so many memories and friends in the area during that time. This year however, our plans got changed due to an unnoticed leak in our camper ceiling and we were not able to stay all summer like we usually do. We were fortunate enough to be able to rent this beautiful place for the Labor Day Holiday weekend so we could spend the end of our summer with everyone. The weather was not the greatest, but it did not even matter, because we were in our favorite place on earth with all of our favorite people. Thank you Allen & Hollie for letting us stay at your beautiful beach house. Many, Many more memories were made that weekend too.

This home is on the beach! Great views from the screened in porch. This home has a perfect floor plan, all rooms on one level.The interior and exterior of the home is clean and well maintained. Definitely will return again soon!

This property is such a gem! We have made so many special memories here over the years. The beach is perfect for young kids and the house is always clean and well stocked. The screened in porch is the star of the show.

We had a wonderful week. The beach area was great, we could walk out pretty far to two sandbars. Fishing was ok, some Croakers, pinfish, and Crabs. One amazing catch of the week was a 36 1/2 Drum. Landed by my grandson. The first 2 days we had a lot of jellyfish, the rest of the week we didn't see any. The ferry to Ocracoke was a fun trip. Saw a large pod of dolphin on the way.

This is a beautiful property with magnificent views. The home provides all the necessary comforts and the screened in back porch is a nice bonus. We loved every minute of our stay!

This was our 4th visit to cedar island, and our 3rd time staying at this property. The space is always clean and beds are comfy. Easiest walk onto the beach and there are never too many people around you.

Great place, fantastic house will definitely rent again. Everything u need for a great beach vacation. Wide open beach our dog Maggie really enjoyed herself. And the purple martins were showing up.

Very thoughtfully designed and perfect! Layout, lighting, convenience, comfort and just downright beautiful. We really enjoyed staying here and plan to come again with more family members. Already loved the area but this home really sets the tone for a wonderful stay no matter what your interest. Even the three Martin houses make it wonderful to sit out on the porch and watch against the backdrop of the sound of the beach. Just beautiful and again very well thought out design of everything!

Comfortable , clean, well appointed for relaxing vacation. Beautiful view, right on the water. Our pets were welcome.

My husband and I really wanted an easy location for an anniversary getaway but we also wanted to include our dogs. This was 100% the perfect site!! It was so refreshing to walk along the beach, watch the dogs experience the ocean, and leave the screen porch doors open all day listening to the waves and birds while we read books and played card games. The house was clean, cozy and relaxing! It definitely helped me mentally relax and reset. Already looking to go back again next year for a longer stay!

The property was everything we were hoping for and more! We were looking for a short get away with our dogs, to the beach for the first time. Right on the water, everything is set up for a wonderful stay.

This is our third visit to this property. We love the house, wonderful layout. Our favorite is the screened porch. Short walk to the beach area. The ferry is great for an day outing. We highly recommend this beautiful place for your next vacation.

Wonderful stay at the Soundside Bungalow for an annual fishing trip. My buddy and I brought our familes (4 kids 4 and under and wives) for three nights and had a blast. Beach at Cedar Island is perfect for young kids. Will be back next year. Huge thanks to Allen and Hollie!

29th Anniversary get away. Truly the most relaxing vacation ever. The wind was up during our stay and the waves and blowing sea oats were mesmerizing. Has everything one needs. Just fyi…the stove/griddle was so nice. Will definitely go back!

This is our 3rd year staying in this “Secret Paradise.” I grew up staying in Nags Head, it still holds a special place in my heart, but over the years it has become insanely busy. Cedar Island has become a much needed break from the world of crazy schedules, stress and just life itself! We were a group of 7 adults going for a mini family reunion. We have some very particular people in our group but the house was so clean and user friendly that even they didn’t have complaints. Very well stocked kitchen with a lot of pots and band and dishes. The access to the water and that screen porch. One of the best houses we have stayed in by far.

We had a terrific time at this charming sound-side home on Cedar Island. The house worked perfectly for 5 adults with room to cook, read, and best of all, spend hours on the fantastic screen porch. You are only steps from the water which was tranquil and beautiful. Cedar Island is not a traditional beach and it is quite remote. Be prepared. But if you like getting away from the crowds, you may love it as much as we do. Strongly recommend a day trip to Cape Lookout with a rental ATV. We also had a really fun horseback ride at the nearby stable. The house is clean and well equipped. Can’t wait to return!
